Hiya i did slimfast for 2 weeks as my pre op diet it was ok, quite do able. Rosemary conley is good as you get an exercise class with it too and i've been told it's a good diet for bandsters to follow so would also set you on the right track for post op!...i'm ging back next week. Good luck with whateva you decide to do and hope your saving goes well ;)

You're definately welcome to join us Piratess x
Why don't you check out the RC diet ? It's pretty good and I think the added exercise at the classes is a great bonus with it.
You can get RC books off amazon.co.uk pretty cheaply if cost is a worry and log what you have and what exercise you do daily like we are x
Kelly, the calorie limit is probably about right but I think maybe the RC calories of between 1200-1400 are good for banders to aim for.
Leanne and Jo x Glad you are posting with us and wishing you continued speedy healing! I always slept on my side pre-op and I still now sleep with a floppy bean bag under my pillows sort of propped up on my back most of the time.
It is weird for ages at first...I think I might be unusual in that my port is uncomfortable on my side this far out of the op.
Hopefully you two will be sleeping more normally after recovery.
Morning Mazza xxxx
I just weighed myself to see how things are (broke a cardinal rule weighing more than once a week..) I wish I hadn't now as it showed me heavier ..I can't have had that much over the party weekend....just have to see what the figure is on my usual Saturday morning weigh in and not get upset...I am peed off at the moment though

i re did it at 2lbs a week loss and it gave me 1200 cals so shall try and stick to that, see how it goes..must drink more water it really is my downfall and i have not been having any breakfast..old habits die hard! I have been and got some stir fry for my tea too xx

Hi Leanne

It's all good, bit sore (had a hernia repaired while under) my wounds were glued and they look good. I'm sick of soup any suggestions? I wouldn't change a thing so glad I'm banded!

How's it going for you? Are you hungry much? Did you have and cc in your band? xxx Jo x

I am OK, bit teary like a big wuss earlier because I was totally floored by the figure...grrr I am trying so hard..but then like you say, it's still a few more days to go before the proper weigh in and I ate all sorts of bad bad naughty food over both days of the weekend that was a lot more than my usual for weekends....just wallowing in it a bit this morning!

So far today
No breakfast (in a big strop due to sneaky weigh in...serves me right!!)
Lunch tuna salad 219
treadmill 50 minutes
W Watchers beef hotpot and veggies 291
slimfast 260 cocoa powder to add chocolatey-ness 12
total - 782

Love you Neen

and

You have certainly pulled yourself in line today precious. Very well done and a great achievement on the treadmill!

Keep us posted precious xxx

Afternoon peeps

Well went to Dolan Park for my fill this morning - arrived 15 minutes late, but they were fine about that.

Only took me a few minutes in there - a quick prick;) and a cup of coffee before the trip home again!

Strayed on the way home into the garden centre, had another coffee and spent out on summer flowering plants and bulbs. I have tried to steer clear of those places as I am prone to overdo the spends! My excuse was I needed a drink as I was dehydrated from last night with nothing inside me.

Had a slimfast when I got in and have got some sf juice on the go as I`m not very good at taking water unless its with whisky!
Will have some weightwatchers soup for tea, as I had some in the cupboard from last time.
I really felt bloated when I had my slimfast, never felt like that before - so I`m hoping the new restriction is kicking in.

Neen thanks for the tuna tip! Not sure how I will cope with cold food out the fridge as a snack, but then again...I eat yogurts! I will certainly get some in and give it a try and let you know how I get on.
Naughty Neen weighing mid-week - you know it leads to dissapointment! As Kelly says a lot can happen in a few days, and you could be despondent for nothing hun x

Sarah and Rachel - take it easy and try not to work too hard, hope you will both be better soon. x
Rache - is the TOM an ongoing problem? Hope your GP can help you hun x

Kelly - you sound really positive, good idea getting the floor done so you can`t raid the fridge!

Leanne - Well done on your weight loss so far! Hope you all enjoy the bowling this afternoon x

Piratess - the fact that your waiting for your band and also on this site makes you one of us hun x
I did the Slimfast shakes pre-op for 2 weeks and got on ok with it. Probably good to use as a tool for a few days until you feel more in control, then start on proper food - as the others suggested like RC diet so that you can make a good impact before your operation. Good luck with the saving - any luck on the job front yet?

Jo - I know how you feel about sleeping, as soon as physically possible I was back to sleeping on my front! Within a couple of weeks with the help of cushions and pillows. You will soon hun x

Tranquil - Thank you for staying so positive; especially after the difficult start you had with your operation. Take it easy with work this week and good luck with your fill on Friday hun x

Morning Maz - or in my case - Afternoon hun x

Thinking of you all and apologies if I have missed anyone - that will be my old grey cells (think some of those have gone awol)

Love Kat x
