This is my 3rd fill now. I had the first one about 6-7 weeks after surgery.

I saw the dietician in between; as well as communicating by phone.

Had the 2nd fill in early January - and although to start with the restriction was fine; it did`nt seem to last too long before the munchies attacked again.

I must admit at times it has been a battle with getting the weight off and keeping committed, especially when I`ve been good all day; only to give in to bad habits in the evening when I should show more restraint.

So here goes lets hope fill no. 3 is the one that is going to have staying power and hit my `sweet` spot!

Jo - Did they not say to you before you left hospital about when you would have your first fill? Did you have the dietician speak with you before you left?

If your concerned about anything at all, then phone them because they will advise you... that is what they are there for hun x

I'm the same, just over a week since I left Dolan park and I have no idea when my fill will be and I havnt spoken to anyone since I left

I have my fingers crossed for your fill Kat x It hopefully will give you a nice booster in time for Summer.
I last went to hospital back last April when I had the defill...I am scared to go back as I stayed the same the whole year with my regains...meh..I bet they rather I didn't darken the door again!
Luckily when I am sensible I have decent restriction so it's up to me to stay sensible (uh oh!!!!)

Caz - If you have any problems with your band, or need to know when you are going to get your 1st fill, then please give them a ring, Jo also.

They are contracted to give you your fills for 2 years after surgery. You should also see the dietician to start with. She will expect you to fill out the food diary that you were given, so she can see how your progressing, whether you are doing any excercise and generally seeing that you are ok.

Once you and she is happy with how you are doing, then you will get a monthly phone call. But if you need to see her at any other time for any worries, then she will see you. So for the first 2 appointments, you will be weighed, and have an informal discussion about the diary and how you are doing. Then it goes to phone appointments, which might be 2 or 3 of until you see her personally again.

Hope this throws some light on what to expect :)

Neen thanks hun x

Neen I bet you would be surprised if you went back for a fill....they know not everyone has outstanding success and there will be more people that need to ask for help and advice than those that can manage on their own. Why don`t you bite the bullet - whats the worst they can do? Only say no!

They can`t call you a failure, because they would have been the ones who should have seen you were ok, or whether you needed any support, they would have failed you otherwise.

You may find it could make a big difference to your losses, without you having to struggle alone.....as if you hav`nt got enough on your plate hun x

Take care sweetie x

I would also have to pay!! I did email a couple weeks ago roughly, to check out how much the appointment fees and fill fees would be but not heard back yet and then got very busy and side tracked with kid issues as usual.
I will try and go this year some time but I feel I need to lose more weight before I can turn up :S I am a wally

Today I have eaten

Nom probiotic yogurt drink
Milky coffee
Weight watchers tomato soup
Chocolate mousse
Prawns in lite Mayo (pureed)

Evening banders.Well, I'm pleased to report that my plan of action for today has worked so far. I had a cheese omeletter for breakfast (270cals), jacket potato with cheese for lunch (216), a portion of marmite cheese (71) and for dinner I had a chicken and asparagus risotto (325). This evening I had a choc/mint echo bar at 126, so with milk in coffees throughout the day I reckon I've had around 1150 cals. But most importantly I didn't feel hungry! Def. feels like a better way of eating so things are looking up!
A friend from work has mentioned a new Zumba class that's starting up next week so I have asked her for details and may give that a go. Other than that still no exercise :(

It's so nice to see all us banders joining together on this particular thread - it's lovely to be part of the gang. Good luck everyone for tomorrow. x

Evening all. Another long day - I cannot believe the hours I am doing at the moment. I am even surprising myself that I have not fallen over:rolleyes:.

Anyway...

Here is the food intake for today - sorry I do not log the claories - as I do a lot of home made stuff it takes ages to log it all into myfitness to work it out. I need to do that for the stuff I eat regularly:

Actimel
2 cups of coffee
water - poor day today as I was distracted by work
1 egg cheese omelette
seafood sticks, salad including a few small slices of beetroot and a dash of chilli dipping sauce
home made fish pie (river cobley, prawns, a low fat fish sauce for pies, thin layer of mashed potaote and baked in the oven) with spinach and a few peas
muller light strawberry rice snack pot thing - not sure why I had this - paid for it with pouch pain - eyes bigger than belly!

Ankles a little better today although I worked at home and kept them slightly elevated. Not walking around too much has helped.

Neen - no scales until Saturday - if you do it again:whoopass:.

Lovely post Kat and good luck with the fill.

Julie:hug99: -good to see you posting.

Sorry I am not wanting to miss anyone but I am so tired but :grouphugg:to you all.

Loving this thread:D.

tranquil x
