BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

You're welcome TB xxx
I think that quinoa is similar to cous cous in that the flavour kind of comes from what you prepare it with.

Mazza...oh I do !!!!!!!! He's just so much Yummier !!!

Sorry for all of the beefcake related posts TB when you are trying to talk food! naughty me x

I am enjoying the exchange - it should not all be about food;).

Talking of beefcakes, Neen I like mine tall, swarthy with a bit of meat on them - don't like skinny men:DCan you rustle one up for Monday:D.

tranquil x

Im partial to swarthy too! I just love Dave because of the music but usually dark haired over 6ft, a bit of muscle and unshaven is fine by me! x x

Well done Sarah and may I compliment you on your excellent taste in men ;)

Im just plowing my way through an activia snack pot yoghurt, they are quite big! and the one I'm having is 81 calories.

I haven't weighed myself for a while now. I feel fit and I dont look too bad so I dont care, is that wrong?

Hope you all have a good day x

Hey Mazza ! I think if you are where you want to be fitness and looks wise, you don't need to worry about the weight so much really as those of us with the majority of weight to lose ahead of us.
Our goal here I reckon is to get fit and be the best we can be and be happy in our own bodies, if you feel that you have done that then a number on the scales pales by comparison to that.
Maintenance is another adventure and you are our role model for that :D

morning luvvlies :) ....

Well done Sarah :)

not very nice out there today cold drizzly yuck! ... I got the same email last night from the Healthier weight people :( shame they still expect you to have £5,000 upfront ! .. ahh well ..
No luck on the job front either theres just nothing around anywhere at the moment .. so my savings have stalled.... will this ever happen? ... ~sighs~

Talking of beefcakes i have a liking of Tom Hardy when he was in wuthering heights mmmm yumminess

googles Tom Hardy.............................................................

Ah he's ok lol x

Mmm Tom Hardy, I think he's v. nice and a great actor.

Mazza, I think it's great that you're at a point in your life where you aren't worried about your weight, you know you're a healthy weight, which is what we all want from this journey. Well done for having achieved this.

Can I just say something to all people on this site who are thinking of taking this journey but are worried about about the success of the band? I was in a similar position to so many of you, thought I'd researched it enough then visited this site and found out that I didn't know very much (didn't realise you needed fills etc), I read the posts of the bypassers and was amazed at the amount of weight they'd lost and was worried that the band wasn't for me. However I couldn't afford the bypass so went ahead with the band. And I have to say it's one of the best things I've ever done, and I have no regrets whatsoever!! In October I weighed 19st 1lb, I now weigh 16st 5lb, have gone from a size 28 to a 24 (22 in some clothes) and my size 22 jeans are hanging off me. 3 people this week have commented on the weight falling off me (I find positive comments so encouraging) and although I know I have a long way to go I'm very happy on my journey. I will be honest and say it can be tough to stay away from the fridge, however the band is a huge tool and a great help, and eating small portions feels completely normal. Another great thing about the band (for me personally) is that I can have a wee treat, now I'm not talking about having these everyday, however a small bag of revels once a week is great and gives me something to look forward to. So please, don't be put off by the band, it maybe the slower option, but every pound lost is a step to a healthier life.

Cor I've blethered.....

Great post Sarah, we only have to look at some of the banders on here to see how succesful it can be! Look at some of the celbs too....Fern Britton and Mimi from Shameless (forgot her name lol) You are doing so well, keep up the great work :D XX
