Mmm Tom Hardy, I think he's v. nice and a great actor.
Mazza, I think it's great that you're at a point in your life where you aren't worried about your weight, you know you're a healthy weight, which is what we all want from this journey. Well done for having achieved this.
Can I just say something to all people on this site who are thinking of taking this journey but are worried about about the success of the band? I was in a similar position to so many of you, thought I'd researched it enough then visited this site and found out that I didn't know very much (didn't realise you needed fills etc), I read the posts of the bypassers and was amazed at the amount of weight they'd lost and was worried that the band wasn't for me. However I couldn't afford the bypass so went ahead with the band. And I have to say it's one of the best things I've ever done, and I have no regrets whatsoever!! In October I weighed 19st 1lb, I now weigh 16st 5lb, have gone from a size 28 to a 24 (22 in some clothes) and my size 22 jeans are hanging off me. 3 people this week have commented on the weight falling off me (I find positive comments so encouraging) and although I know I have a long way to go I'm very happy on my journey. I will be honest and say it can be tough to stay away from the fridge, however the band is a huge tool and a great help, and eating small portions feels completely normal. Another great thing about the band (for me personally) is that I can have a wee treat, now I'm not talking about having these everyday, however a small bag of revels once a week is great and gives me something to look forward to. So please, don't be put off by the band, it maybe the slower option, but every pound lost is a step to a healthier life.
Cor I've blethered.....
