BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

Hi Everyone.

This thread gets busier and busier everyday which is good. It's like a refuge for bandsters.

Well I have had a good week. So I have weighed and have lost 8lb this week.Thank you all for the support and helping me get back on track. I just hope I can keep this up.

Today I have had

1.5ltrs water

one small slice of toast with just jam
yogurt
actimel
apple
soup
baked potato, lamb, sweetcorn
milk drink.
Coming in at just under 1000 cals.

Evening all!

Having the urge to graze all day long I have eaten today:

Paw ridge
Chocolate mousse
Mushroom soup
Yogurt
Tomato soup
Quavors
Milky coffee

Must rein it in but soo hungry my tummy hurts!

Night all Jo x

Rache I have room in my inbox for ya now!!! Hope you have had a moment to watch aussie biggest loser in between house moving plans xxxx

Leanne I am glad your clips are gone and you are more comfy..a good nights sleep is always going to help so fingers crossed you will be able to sleep normally now :)

Caroline I would just keep an eye on it hun and keep it clean and dry and let the air get to it?

Sleep good Kat! Aw poor you xxx You're doing awesome in spite of feeling so rough x

Aw Tranquil :( I have had one yuck fill..it's horrible but hopefully not the norm for you from now on.
You are doing FANTASTIC in the face of stress at work and feeling so rough too...I hope with all my heart that this fill will really speed those pounds away for a while now xxxxxx

OMG Weeble!!!!!! OH MY FREAKIN HEAVENS TO BETSY!!!! 8lbs!!!! How wonderful hun!!! I hope so much that this is only the first of many many more awesome weigh ins for you hun xxxx Keep on going and we will ALL get there won't we????? :D

You're doing fine Jo! You will feel a lot fuller when you start on the solids hun, don't worry!!!!

Wow - well done Weeble thats fantastic!

Jo - you are doing really well so try not to worry about grazing (ignoring the quavers lol - yummm) if you added all the calories up it would still be pretty low. Like I said earlier have another small portion of soup / milky coffee etc if you feel hungry.

When you move through the next stages you will find that each meal fills you for longer.

Night all - hope you all have a lovely weekend x x

Well done Weeble, that's an amazing loss!

I'm not looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow, think I might have stayed the same again. Have booked in for my first fill now which will be on the 7th April, plus my exercise plan kicks in tomorrow, so hopefully I won't stall for too long!

I have agreed to do a 13 mile midnight walk in June for charity with some friends from work. At the moment I don't think I could walk a mile too easily so it's going to be a real challenge for me. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing physically wrong with me it's just that I'm sooo unfit! Last November I walked from the local train station to my house, around a mile and a half, with a lot of it being uphill. It took me an hour as I kept having to stop and rest. I thought I wasn't going to make it. It was then I realized that I needed to do something about the weight as I felt more like I was 79, not 39! Anyway, I'm going to have to do a fair bit of training for this walk which I figured was a good idea as it will give me something to focus on for the next few months.

It's great to see so many people on this thread now, I've pretty much stopped reading the rest of the site now, especially as there's usually so much to catch up with on here! Have a good weekend all xx

Sleep tight Mazza xxxx

Hey Mel! I bet you could manage those miles no problems xx Especially after the gym sessions..I bet you could jog it by then! Well at least a couple of em :D
I know what you mean about tomorrow :( I am scared I have gained after last weeks party food bonanza...I have tried to be good this week and exercised most days for some damage limitation!
Not long to your fill and that plus the gym will get those pounds motoring off!!

Morning Banders! WOW...weeble thats an amazing loss!!!

Yes i am up way too early for my liking but hubby started back at work this morning after 2 weeks off  (went way too quickly) and with 3 youngsters im sure hubby was being loud on purpose to wake the boys up...lol!

Last night was my night and i was able to sleep on my side which was fantastic :D:D unfortunately my 10 month old was up twice, other than that im sure i would have slept through.

I really think i need to take in more fluids, i get so busy dealing with the kids i kind of forget to drink. Yesterday i was so busy with appointments Alder Hey with lil one and then onto Abbey Sefton for clips removed, with getting boys ready and dropping them off at grandparents and picking them up, i didnt eat till 3pm  (so nawty, i got slap on my wrist of hubby and my mum).

Hope you all have a lovely weekend xxx

Morning all - I weighed myself and wowee I've lost half a pound. I can't even update my stats this week coz half a pounds aren't allowed! Oh well, a loss is a loss I suppose and hopefully next week will show some better results from the exercise that I'll be doing! Anyway good luck to everyone else who is weighing in today and I'll catch up with you all again next week. Have a lovely weekend xx

Wow what a beautiful day it is out there!!! I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend whatever you are doing.

It is lovely to see so many new faces on this thread, and they chat!!! :)

Well I'm back folks, have been a bit poorly the last few days both physically and mentally down too, so I was reading and posting only occasionally.

Feeling much better today, dunno what it was during the week, my abdomen was very painful, swollen and tender to touch in certain areas, nothing band related I'm sure. Nausia and headaches too. Daughter was the same so I know it's not just me being a hypochondriac :)

As a result have been very constipated too (again daughter has same symptoms so think it's a lil ole bug or something)
I've been drinking plenty and consuming well until mid afternoon when the pains started with a vengeance. Tea time was worst time to eat, didn't feel bodily hungry just head hungry, and ate anyway.
Got very mixed messages from my body regarding hunger and not quite sure how to cope with it all which has got me down this week.
Still being naughty (I truly am a food addict, and emotional eater) and have been observing myself this week in an effort to try and identify my triggers.

I have a habitual mid afternoon sweet tooth. Not quite sure how to address this one. Will write it down for my appointment next month with the food psychologist, see if he can help with any plan of action.
Deffo a head hunger lady in the evenings, and the weekly weigh in is helping me to curb that as I was keen to see no gain on this weeks scales. As it is I have managed to stay the same this week, pretty good considering the week I've had :)

I've been to view another house today up the same street as the house I really love. It's a beggar to park up there!! The one we all loved doesn't want any pets. I've begged and asked if she would like a reference from previous landlords stating she is not a messy or smelly dog, or noisy for that matter. If she really doesn't want her there I may well be looking to rehome her, as all the places I've been to have said the same, no pets.
I understand it from the landlords point of view, just not relishing leaving my pooch with my sister. :(
Will have to rehome the rabbits too. anyone who wants two lop eared bunnies (apple and crumble) who are inseperable and love each other very much (they've been 'done') they are used to dogs. Don't tend to bite (honest Mazza lol) used to being handled, and love being in the garden chomping on the grass, lemme know :)

Weeble that's an amazing loss luvvie well done.

Sarah and Kat hope you are both feeling better soon xxx

Rache xxx

Rache I hope you find a new home and do not have to be separated from your pets. Well done on staying the same. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

tranquil x

Hi all, well done on the losses. Happy belated birthday Kelly. Rache, I hope you're feeling better now and you manage to find something pet friendly.

Well I have just been band-sick for the first time :( Had scrambled egg for breakfast, managed 2 small spoonfuls when it got stuck. I've had food get stuck before and while it's not comfortable it only lasts for a few moments, but this time after 30 mins it was still there and very uncomfortable (could hardly speak). I didn't feel sick but decided to sit in the bathroom just incase, as soon as I got there my eggs came back. The relief was immediate, but I feel so drained now. I rang in sick at work and I'm now relaxing on the settee sipping a slimfast :( Ach well, maybe eggs aren't good on a tight band.

Anyway, have a lovely weekend xx

Oh Sarah - not nice. Were the eggs soft scrambled? If I have scrambled egg at all it has to be really soft or it feel like a brick going down. It is odd though because I am fine with omelette which is a harder texture. Hope you feel better soon.

ooh Sarah I'm the same with eggs, I have to chew them to absolute mush before I swallow or they stick on me. I've cut down massively on the amount of eggs I eat now compared to pre op, maybe one a week whereas before I could easily manage a couple a day.
Saying that I had a fried one today (we went for our first trip to a pub for a full english, not done that with my girls since before had the op which is nearly a year ago now!!)
I t was nice though couldn't manage it all it made a lovely change, sausages stick on me too, I discovered today, not a massive fan of the sausage though so not too gutted about that.
any way hope you feel ok soon sarah, as you're full of cold your band may be a little tighter so that could be why it didn't go down. try again another time xxxx
