Morning all x Hey Kelly if you're bored , I can send you some mini game links (if I haven't already)
I am going to go play World of Warcraft when I've done all my jobs etc... alas I am probably the only player on this site so no-one knows what I'm on about x

Hi Kelly

What you are feeling is completly normal and a combination of post op blues and probably missing the food a bit. All normal and it will pass, good idea to keep busy x

Hi all, I hope you've all had a good weekend.

Sorry I'm not posting much at the moment, for some reason I'm constantly feeling shattered and have such little energy. Also I put weight on last week, which didn't help (but wasn't surprised, I've been grazing and did no exercise). I've started multivits so hopefully they'll give me a boost. I must admit that I went swimming today and although I'm achy I def feel better for it. Anyway I must shower before work, take care everyone xx

Thank you maz, neen and tranquil thought it was post op blues..glad i'm normal..well ish anyway lol. I checked my pm's neen and you did send me the link for some games fancy the zombie planet one i'll have a go later and let u know!

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a wonderful day. I am also kinda bummed right now. Today the scales said I've gained. :( I'm sure it's partly because of that lovely time of the month, but probably more likely because I have my first post-op follow up tomorrow. I've started eating soft Louise (oats, grits, cream soups, etc.) and am sure that is much more likely to be the reason. Haven't been snacking though I did have 3 crackers. I just started back walking today also so I know that will help. Just kinda bummed me out. I know some ups are normal but was hoping for none for a bit.

Sorry for the sad report. Tomorrow is a new day. Starting again just like every day.

Don't worry Andi, I always carry a few pounds with my period. I think just do what you are going to do and carry on with the healthy eating. The water weight will go again, it's not real gain. Maybe switch to tomato based / clear soups as opposed to creamy ones ? And low carb crackers if poss to give you a booster xxx

Morning All. Andi sorry about your gain - Neen has given you some good advice.

Neen how are things? I have ordered the mattress topper you recommended from Amazon. I cannot wait for it to come - my bed is like sleeping on a bedrock at the moment.

I am off to the opticians this afternoon to pick up my new specs. They are a little different from my usual style - one pair is sort of purple/pink with splashes of yellow - on reflection I hope I was not too adventurous:rolleyes:.

Have a great day:D.

tranquil x

Hey,

Sorry to hear you've gained. It's a real pain in the a*s isn't it?

I hope those gained pounds can shift right out of your life soon.

:hug99:

Hey TB , I'm OK thanks for asking x Bit bloaty thanks to Aunt Flo turning up today :( Bleurgh!
Decided to check my weight after the monthly terrors have gone again as I know I am carrying about 5 or 6 lbs of water.
(well it feels like that anyway)
How are your glasses? My new ones are greyish metallic with a bit of purple tint... and my lenses are also waiting for me. Kids were ill last week so I missed my appointment to pick them up. Always something isn't there.
Hope you enjoy the bed topper...kids are definately sleeping better on theirs.

Hi Neen. The new specs are lovely - the very bright pair will take some getting used to though. I may be a devil and wear them on my first day back to work - might cause a ripple of comment:D.

The topper arrived today as well. I cannot believe it has turned up so quickly - I ordered it on Sunday night. Will let you know how it is - looking forward to trying it.

tranquil x

Hello fellow bandsters. I am nearly 3 weeks post-op and can progress to soft food tomorrow. I'm okay with breakfast and dinners but I work full-time and, apart from soup (which I am getting a bit bored with now tbh) can anyone suggest a suitable lunch I can take to work with me? There is a fridge, microwave and kettle at the office if that helps! Thanks in advance x

Hi and welcome to life as a bander
I tended to take soup to work for quite a while just because I didnt want to risk new foods not going down well when being at work. When I was more confident I took cottage cheese with some grated cheese mixed in and sometimes did extra tea ie mash potato and cheese etc and then heated it up in the microwave.
Just take it easy to start with and try one new food at a time and remember that if you dont get on well with a food at first leave it for a while and then try again another time
hope you get on Ok
Jo XX
