Had an up and down week tbh. Car has been a right pain, well the garage has been. Sorted now and a very light purse later. :(
Been doing emotional eating this week. Not been at work due to half term so not exercised as much. I've gained half a stone in a week!!!
Yes I weighed myself at night after a day of stupidity which didn't help.
I'll be glad to get back to work and my routine again.
I miss my walking, and due to so much needing doing at home not had the opportunity to go out as much.
Made some dreadful food choices too. Humph humph humph.
Next week is a whole new week huzzar :)
 
You will do better next week :D Boredom is one of the worse things for trying to loose weight!! Hope things are a bit easier for you today Nina (HUG) XX

I'm trying a slimfast in the evenings to avoid overdoing calories after tea...that's been a huge downfall for me snacking at night..so this is damage limitation...I'll let you know if it works , maybe it might help you as well?
If it's that much gain in a week, perhaps it's water weight? You have to eat about 3500 calories worth to put one pound on hun and that's a tall order in one week when you think about it.
Weight fluctuates daily as well so don't fret, just get back on the wagon with me x

Hi all. Glad you are feeling a little better today Neen. Is it true you really have to consume that many calories to gain a pound. Gosh just makes me think what I was putting away to gain so much weight. Hope everyone is having a restful and peaceful Sunday.

How many unused calories is what's important here. Remember that you're burning calories just sitting around- about 80 an hour or so. You burn at least 1000 calories in a day just breathing, thinking and so on. A pound of fat contains roughly 3200 calories. So you'd have to consume 3200 calories beyond what you burn in a day to gain a pound of fat. Conversely, you'd need to burn 3200 calories more than you consume to lose a pound of fat. That may seem like a lot, but realize that an extra hundred calories a day, everyday, over the course of a lifetime can really add up, a pound a month, 12 pounds a year.



Also remember, the less you move , the more of what you eat goes straight to storage

Hi Sarah, the munchies are a killer. Hot drinks are good for staving them off. I have two meetings tomorrow with my boss and the head of the department but I got an email to say they may be cancelled at short notice. I am hoping to start a phased return a week on Monday except it is not going to be phased as my boss goes on holiday on the Wednesday:rolleyes:.

Yeah there was a bit of water there and I weighed at night instead of first thing in the morning, I was a heck of alot lighter by the morning after a blummin long midnight wee!!! I'm still self sabotaging it seems as I know I weigh more in the evening than at night. I've stil made some rotton food choices. I have to be honest with myself. My sweet tooth has gotton out of hand again.
If I liked slimfast I'd try your tip Neen, can't bear the stuff and the thicker yoghurt drinks aren't that great calorie wise.
I need to shake myself up and crack on properly again so thank goodness I'll be getting my routine back this week.xxxxxx

Funnily enough I'm having a hot choccy too, and I rarely ever have them, have to really be in the mood.
