bypass daily menu -

W e all eat something we shouldn't now and again. Its no good sickening ourselves off and sticking to the same things, we have tried that when dieting over the years and look where that got us, a bit of what you fancy does you good, have to hqave a bit of fat in your diet, I had afriend who used to live by weight watches and she always said if you cut out all fat you become stressed n irritable and it is right. I went out this afternoon with my sister n her friends crippled with pain wasn't food hadnt eaten since 12 lunch time pain started 6ish went home 9pm had to get my clothes off n lie on me tummy n had 2 buscopan have woke up and its gone but feeln like loo now, so what eva was stuck is moving thru. Missed last part of tha night tho n had nothing to eat till 10 mins ago thought better have something case me levels get low don't want to start that, bad enough yesterdays pains.

yesterdays menu-
B HOVIS fruit n fibre bread with spread
S GRAPES
L 1 York pudd, carrots, turnip, cabbage, roast beef, mint sauce wiv red onion n gravy.

TEA, WATER ,DIET COKE WITH VODKA, SODA WATER

Shelley it isn't too bad at all but where are your veggies!!! Swop potato salad for some steam veg get more fiber into your diet n on days with no red meat iron too, pickles, sweet potato, or cuecumber etc and beware what u dont dump on one day can have devastating consequences the next....also if I was being super picky I'd say that your snack choices though low fat bring zip to your diet apart from something to eat, maybe swop for fage n fruit or lf yoghurt .....give yourself the chance to break old bad habits n introduce new ones. Other than that don't beat yourself up! You are going fab n ww are all learning I only mention veg n snacks as u know I'm super strict !! Xx

Good morning everybody! Thank you for all the comments and advice. Everything duly noted and taken on board.. I think the next person at work that tells me how lucky I am to have had the "easy option" to lose weight I am liable to really give a piece of my mind to, as a bypass is definitely not an easy option... The further down this road I travel, the more I realise just how much is still down to me, and that the surgery really is just a tool and not a miracle cure!! I think I just panic when I find I can eat something high in fat or sugar, as then I know I have to exercise self control, and that is something I have never been great at!! This is a big learning curve for me, and I'm sure for everyone else also, and I honestly don't know what I would do sometimes without this forum and especially you guys on this thread.. Thank you one and all for your support.. xxxx

Yes this forum is a life saver, it's great we are all here for each other or it would be 10 times harder and easy option! It's the hardest thing I've ever done. My friends and family get that now but I doubt the rest of the world will. You are doing well Amanda, learning everyday, same as me. We win some, we lose some but I think we are both determine enough to win the battle in the long run :) xx

I had to chew it for ages, but I just wanted something different chrissa. It was cold by the time i'd had enough lol x

I really want to try some Jacobs choice grain crackers.I've been fancying them for ages. Do you think they'll be ok when Im on solids, with a bit of Philly light or something?

Well you can always give them a try but give your body some time to get adjusted first. I am sure they will go down ok though, just keep them in mind till you are ready some people have them earlier think i waited quite a while i am over a year post so struggling to remember when exactly was ok, maybe ask Amanda she is only few weeks in fromt of ya. xx

Crackers should be ok, especially with something soft like philly as that softens it but with crackers you can chew until they are mush so they usually go down well. Not long now :) x
