Congratulations on losing that 1lb shelleymarie.. Maya I hope you enjoy your ball, and how great is that!! A size 10! that's amazing!! I am meeting 2 of the ladies from the forum tomorrow for lunch. Penny1008 and Pandora. Penny was the lady who took me into hospital for the op and bought me home after surgery, she has been really supportive. And pandora (cheryl) is another bypasser who came to visit me just after I came round from the op. I haven't seen either of them for about 4 months now, so am looking forward to seeing them both again, it should be lovely....

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, we're allowed toast - at St Richards, we come out of hospital on Pureed! At 4 weeks, its the next stage - soft foods. In the booklet, it tells you what kind of things to have - toast is ok, but can barely manage an entire slice - am finding things far too sweet, Ive always been a savoury gal!

Wow! Toast so early!! that is amazing.. I can only just now manage to eat toast and then only half a slice and I'm nearly 5 months out now.. It just goes to show how each of us are so different!!

It might not be a good thing for me - bread and carbs are/were my downfall!

Im using a weight watchers loaf - its small, and I can freeze half of it, cos Im sure it will last me ages!

I know what you mean widdershins.. Bread was a problem for me also.. Ate far too much of it and loved it.. But I don't think it will do you any harm in moderation the way you eat it now xx
