My job is working with 16-25 year olds who live in a sheltered accommodation unit. we are assigned a case load and have to encourage general welfare, help with budgeting skills find courses etc. and encourage independent living, liaising with other outside agencies. Never a dull moment. Lots of documentation required everything is to be logged. So far I am feeling quite excited by it all but we will see after a month there are some lovely young'uns there, all kinds of probs. xxxx

Ahh my friend is a manager of a project like that in Swansea. She started off as a support worker. You must have bags of patience Chrisa!

It is demanding, but so rewarding. I really love the job I have now. I get to help and support people regain their function and independence after having a stroke. It's the best job ever as I get to see people getting better every day! :)

I wouldn't say perfect lol. But I do try really hard to stay on the straight and narrow, because I really want to succeed at this. I'm not gonna lie, some days it is a struggle. But nothing worth having comes easy does it? :)

I love my job too Paula, I work in a combined stroke unit. So we have the acute cases come through, and we take them all the way through rehab until they are ready for community. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone walk through door as they leave.

First day back today, I'm amazed at myself. Not only did I cope, I kept up with my colleagues, and I'm no more tired than I would have been normally. It was a great day.

B: Atkins daybreak bar. 100ml orange juice.
S: Danio strawberry yogurt.
L: 50g chicken, 2 babybel. Lucozade lite.
S: 2 apple weetabix biscuits, 2 cheeseTs
D: Lasagna, no pasta.

400ml milk in drinks. 4 litres of fluid (its thirsty work nursing).

I have to be honest and say while I agree, I couldn't cope with not treating within my limits. But as I've said before, I've not seen any two postops who deal with food alike

Bang on the money there Yve. We've all had the same procedure, yet our journeys are all so different. And that's what makes it interesting :)

I think it is important to carry on posting here, both for myself, and also because I think we need to give back some of the support we received at the beginning of our journeys and to reassure people starting out that there really is a wonderful life after wls surgery... xx
