bypass daily menu -

I am trying the same Chrisa as snacking was fine a while ago, but now it feels like oversnacking. So I am going back to four meals and eating every 3/4 hours with a timer. Fluids only in between. It was working really well and then started to add in snacks again!

Well pleased its not just me. I can do it some days just some days when it means sitting doing written work its tempting just to drink and eat something in between. Guna have to be strong and get outta the habit. I still don't feel hunger anything like I used to. I sometimes just feel very empty if that makes sense. Sometimes I just hit a wall and know that my meal time is due. I am working 12hr shifts what with getting to and from work some days I am out the house 13 hrs plus, so need to take 2 meals with me with fruit n veg incorporated, I am managing it though, tyr to have one cooked meal and one cold meal. Sometimes get a chicken wrap with salad or chicken enchiladas, on a weekend we sometimes order a sunday lunch in so not crap I am eating apoart from the odd biscuit or cake but it is the odd one for a treat. Tend to snack on nuts or muesli bar or dry granola, n fruit of course. xx

Think I just need to stick to the 4 meals. It's like even a single healthy snack seems to get me on that path.

Hi all, hope you've all had a good day. Here's today's menu.

I tried nothing in the evening but would get really hungry as I've always felt proper hunger. So the four meal approach is always been my better option.

Work today, exhausted as usual.

L: 75g Chicken, 40g cheese, 4 crackers.
S: Banana and WW yoghurt.
D: Beef and mushroom Bolognaise,50g whole wheat pasta and ricotta.

Hopefully the stall has passed, lost 3lbs in last day or two. I seem to put on water weight around ovulation, but drop it before I come on. Its unusual, but not unheard of apparently (that's me all over, lol).
1/2 mile swim this morning, I'm getting better all the time - I was speeding away.

B: 2 belvita, 2 cheese triangles and a babybel. Mocha.
L; 3 ryvita thins, 2 soft boiled eggs.
S: Protein shake blended with a banana.
D: Cajun Chicken, with peppers, tomatos, onions and rice.

Snack - half a low fat custard pot :)

Water approx 1.5 litres sipped throughout the day

Can you cheat a bypass? Confused

You can cheat a bypass yes....its only a tool if you eat or drink calorific foods and don't maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle then a bypass may get you some weight losd but it can be at the expense of serious health problems....and of course you can still put weight on..

You can cheat any of the surgeries if you really wanted to. As butterfly says, they are merley a tool to help you. xx

I don't understand how - I thought bypass would stop you?

I'm trying to learn as much as possible - seeing consultant tomorrow!

If you want to eat nothing and no one is going to stop you. The bypass reduces your stomach size. It doesn't reduce your capacity for self abuse - they operate on your stomach and not your brain. It's such a radical change that you have time to build new and better habits but those old bad ones lurk in the dark waiting for stressful times.

What yve says is so true.....I can eat anything with no problem...no dumping......ice cream, chocolate, crisps, sweets.....I can eat and enjoy a small amount at once but the fattie inside me is sometimes wanting more.....I could graze alllll day on this calorific food resulting in high cals, low nutrition and probably not being able to eat my three proper meals....

There are people who have the op but think they won't have to exert any self control....u still have to.follow strict guidance on food, intake, portion sizes, when to move to next stage etc.....probably the hardest diet you will ever have to do but the rewards are huge....good luck with it all!! Xx

I'm the same as you butterfly....I only seem to dump with McCoy crisps and Pringles. I can eat everything else but less of it with no side-effects. If I'm not careful, i could eat little things all day long and my weight will go up.

God that's awful I love crisps but find own brands best as smaller bags and seem to work easier but chipsticks are my favourite
Fruit makes me dump its rotten
