bypass daily menu -

Is it just meat nellyphant that gets stuck or is it other foods. X

Meat and eggs mainly. Haven't touched bread or toast. Crackerbread is okay. Cheese gives me grief sometimes too. I can only eat mince if it is really fine. It did come back up, not a lot so there must've been something stuck. Little bits of meat came out.

Thanks nellyphant. I honestly didn't think anything would get stuck with a bypass only a band. You learn so much on here with everyone's experiences x

Oh dear that doesn't sound good nellyphant. I've been lucky so far with meat and eggs but I know it can be a problem for some people. I hope you are feeling better soon. What are you like with fish?

Breakfast - 2 DS crispbreads with weight watchers tuna in coronation sauce
Lunch - 1 egg omelette with low fat cheese, spinach and mushrooms
Dinner - forgot to get anything out the freezer so a Heinz mini meal spaghetti carbonara with peas and ham
Snacks - Half a diet protein shake (actually hit 70grams of protein today for a change) and 2 crispbreads with low fat pate

Drinks - 2 teas, a light cranberry juice with water, pure Clementine juice with water, 2 pints of water.

Bad head day today. Can't stop worrying I'm doing this wrong and my team are never available for reassurance. Only been able to speak to a dietician once and that was for 5 mins before my surgery

Shelley I think you are doing just fine, good variety in there - more fruit n veg I think we all get so caught up on the protein and forget that but it helps us toilet wise and a good mixed diet keeps your body guessing. Don't worry, have your team an email address and gave u git a three month check comi.g up soon - I took photos of my portion sizes n a lust of questions to mine ..

Thank you. I think I've been getting too caught up in numbers protein, carbs etc and not thinking about the bigger picture. I'm going to make a concious effort for more fruit and veg as I've never been very good with those and thanks so much for the tip re being prepared for the 3 month check up. I shall take some pic's and write a list of questions so I'm well prepared and not worry about that side of it until then :) Thanks again x

Yes meat can be a problem to mosy fortunately i have been ok with meat fish has been a problem I can eat it now but only small bits think its too dry, it just seems to sit there i have to drink loads of water to get it through, meat i eat in small pieces and chew thoroughly, if its a bigger bit and i forget to chew properly i get alittle pain so check my self and try with the next peice.
