Hey, Yasmine-Samara,

I've only joined today, but I had the second part of the DS on 16th May, and the first part (the sleeve) in May 2007. I gather from some of your posts that you were trying to find fellow DS'ers on here, but it seems you only found one who is in the US? Of course it is a rarer op here than the gastric bypass, but I'm surprised there aren't some more on here. Your weight loss is terrific, but I do wonder if you realise that most DS'ers try to limit their carbs to 50g a day or even less, but can have high fat and must have high protein? Our needs and plumping are very different from the people with a bypass, but I'm sure you know that. I've no intention of hijacking this thread much more, as it's really to log what people eat, but personally I think you are eating far too many carbs - too much bread, too much fruit and definitely you shouldn't be eating breakfast cereals! Are you taking all the DS supplements ok? I have to take loads including extra calcium, zinc and iron, plus one high strength multi-vit and two special water soluable multi-vits called ADEKS. Other differences between us and the bypassers are that we can drink with meals and we don't have to do the endless chewing because we don't have a little pouch like them, but a fully functioning little stomach. There's loads more stuff you need to know (or maybe you do already?). Please don't be offended if you do know all this or feel that I'm speaking out of turn.
Anyway, well done and glad you are so positive and in a good head place - it's vital!
