Shazbrad your menus seem very high in carbs and low in protein, which would explain why you feel that your losses have slowed down considerably, and also why you are snacking in between. With simple carbs like cereal bars, toast, wedges etc you will feel hungry again quite soon after eating. Protein keeps you feeling full and satisfied for longer and will speed up your weight loss.

Have you looked at the research and thoughts behind the 5 day pouch test?

Well I've not been very well the past week (I've had hives, headaches, temp, sore throat and I've recently become quite depressed) so today I hadn't eaten anything by the time my OH got in.
We then went shopping and to cut a long story short all I've had today was some indian food.

I had some tandori lamb and some chicken kahrahi. Tiny bit of rice, a popadom and a small bit of naan.
Not all at once tho!

Will do better tomorrow, 3 meals, not just one and not just a take away :)

Tho I don't gruge myself the odd treat, so that's what this was :)

X

Thanks Shell have printed them and will have a good read tomorrow. I tend to comfort eat so thats prob why i eat so many carbs etc :( but i am determined to get back to eating properly with maybe the odd treat here and there and not everyday as i am now.
Today was one of those lets not mention it type of days, which resulted in me dumping this evening :sigh: my own fault tho.
Tomorrow is another day so will see what it brings.

Haven't been well last 3 days or so, cold & fever, etc but I had a friend around today for her last homecooked meal before starting her bypass pre-op diet so made a delux dinner and carb loaded, must not let that continue!

B - oatmeal w/nuts & scoop of protein powder
L - spicy chili con carne soup
D - roast chicken, sauteed brown sugar (splenda version) carrots, garlic new potatoes & slice of homemade Irish soda bread with herbs and mature cheddar (sent the loaf home with friend because it tasted too good)

Snack - 1/2 protein latte & apple

You sent her home with that bread and she's starting the pre-op diet, you are so mean Phatgirl! lol
That'll be gone by the morning, well it would have if it had been me!

Felt sicky and no hunger yesterday, might have been the prawns and marie rose sauce. Does anyone know when you start to feel hunger? Should I just go with it and not eat if I'm not hungry?

B 1/2 mullerlight 4.3g
L 1/2 can leek and potato soup 2.3g
D 1/2 saucer chicken and chickpea curry
Snack 2 x 250ml protein shake (56g protein)
