does anyone crave ice lollies or anything cold and icey? I have gone mental over having my drinks loaded with ice and cant eat enough ice lollies sugar free of course. My hubby brought me an ice crusher and I have been making my own slushies and oh wow they are to die for and really satisfy my ice craving and I know it will be in full use if we have a hot summer. I just crush a load of ice and add fruit juice or s/f squash it is lovely with j2o as well

Are j20's ok to have lisa im just looking for a drink to have whilst on a night out didnt know if it had a lot of sugar in?

I'm a really cheap date on a night out! I just stick to water! Then I don't have to worry about dumping on any of the drinks (or getting wazzled by accident!). J2O has quite a bit of sugar in it - per 100ml has 47Kcal and 12g Sugar - just looked it up but I could be wrong!

Lisa, I am the complete opposite of you! I can't stand anything cold... I can't even drink cold water never mind slushies! I think its because I have been constantly cold since the operation.

they do have sugar in but I tried them whilst i was away and was ok with them i didn't have too many I think I had 3 all weekend and the rest I had squash as the bars served that as well.:D

thanks steph that is really usefull like i said only tried them while away and liked them but they are very sweet and tried one with ice and enjoyed it but couldn't drink them all night to sickly so enjoyed s/f squash with ice. Won't be drinking them again if they have that much sugar wowser surprised I didn't dump having 3 bottles oh my lord. maybe one occasionaly if i go out then water or squash i think lol.
Sorry to hear you are so cold others say this as well but I feel the same as before if not too hot at times i must be weird ha ha

Monday
B porridge with semi-skimmed milk
L 1/2 can chicken broth soup / chinese apple/pear thing
D 3tbs special fried rice/ 1 ryvita with cheese slice

snack Babybel light

Spoke to the dieticians today as I wasn't sure about the texture of my food as I've not lost a lot recently. They said I should be eating more textured food now so that I feel satiated for longer. So rice for dinner which was OK and cheese and ryvita which I was a bit scared of, but was fine actually.

Lol. I WISH I was too warm! I hate it being so cold all of the time! I am use to being warm pre-op, so it is taking some getting use to!

I'm pretty sure sipping J2O in an evening wouldn't hurt too much; then again I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to dumping!

Gillabean, we were bypassed at around the same time and I am on a fully 'normal' food now. Try to slowly introduce new foods (one at a time) and you might be supprised at what goes down well now. I struggled with fish and beef in the early stages, however, now I am fine with them both. Good luck with it all.

On a worse note - really really bad day food wise. I really don't want to post it! But I know the only way I can learn from it is to accept it was really really bad!

peckish today even though I'm eating more normal food. Stupidly bought some raising and nuts and picked at them until they were all gone, why did I do that, I wasn't hungry just the old habit showing its ugly head.
