Just had my Gastric band fitted yesterday, all went well. Niggling shoulder and back wind, other than that great and soon be slim jim!! Does anybody know if its the norm to gain weight after the op? I weigh more today than I did pre op yesterday? :/ xx

Glad it all went well best way to get rid of the wind is to walk I found and as for weight gain the bands can weigh a lot of grams

Hi Kissthetoad, I am in on Thursday, op on Friday. I am at Sunderland hun. I cant wait now. Leeds you did make me chuckle there about wanting to taste something defferent! I was the same on Friday so put some curry powder in my veggie soup lol Was lovely and just the trick xx Last day at work for me tomorrow eek! Counting down the hours.....

Well I did the teaspoon of curry into a little mash..... Now I think I made up 4 tablespoons of mash, lots of milk to make it running consistency.. Put in 1 teaspoon of other halfs curry and blended the life out of it..... I had 3 spoon fulls and stopped as I was getting worried about the spicy ness. All seems good tho. It really was liquid that could have gone up a straw but it tasted ace.... And 3 spoonfuls and I was more than satisfied.

Sitting at my pre op assessment appt and trust me to book it on a day when there is a strike up London... Place is packed with police and banners etc, never mind ....

hi princess I'm home now sent home with all sorts of meds and a needle we have to use to stop clotting.its only for next couple days I get hubby to inject it I can't look lol x

Rest up... Thankfully I finished the last if my injections yesterday .... Rest up and relax

R the injections mandatory ? Does everyone have to take them? I haven't had anything mentioned to me regarding then after surgery Saturday?

As far as I know yeah... They aren't that bad, the needle is so fine you barely feel it... Stings a little after for bout 15 mins...

hi they just for the 1st week,I was scared of doing mine on my own today but they don't hurt
