Message to Myself ... diary to remind me where I have been and where I am going

Believe it! Look at all the weight you've lost! It's fab isn't it, to try a) something on in what we deem a skinny size and b) for us to look bloody good in it. I'm really gonna enjoy shopping for this years holiday, as need everything! It's nice you got an end prize BUT knowing what shopping is like why not buy it now in a 14 or even a 12...would be awful if they'd sold out! x

mmmm ... you are so right Jo ... wise head on young shoulders :)

I think I will go for the 14 - I looked good in that ... and I am not bothered about getting to a size 12 - loving the curves. I went to watch Rugby yesterday with the OH and met up with his mates and wow it was good to feel them put their arms around my waist for a hug cos they had not seen me since I had the band. And I had a waist ... whoop whoop.

I think all of us girls need to meet up for a shopping trip

I'd be up for that...a banders day out but having learnt from past experience of what a nightmare organising can be I'll let you sort n I'll just turn up lol!

As for the young bit...think you're confusing me with someone else :D xx

1 March 2012

Secondment Visa application for USA denied ... 6 page letter of response. Oh dont you just love beaurocracy. OH is so so disappointed, but I am more realistic ... one door closes, another opens...let's see what the future brings now!

Bring it on :gimi:

ridiculous! From experience, I hate anything home office related! Assuming you have right to appeal? Chin up xx

Oh sorry to hear that flutterby but loving the positive attitude

Poor you two :(

Oh FB- what a shame. I'll never understand immigration- they're mad as pants!
Keep your chin up xx

Nothing keeps me down for long nowadays. Not wanting to go down the depression route again. Not sure if we have the right of appeal yet, until we receive the full documentation. Hubby working on plan b and plan c at moment.

All the 3s

Week 33 post op this week. 3rd day of 3rd month - 3bs lost ... well on way to achieving Easter Goal. Bit low on average calories this week c1050 average per day .... not necessarily out of choice - from experience, my band seems to tighten up week before TOTM. From experience, TOTM will mean low or no weight loss next week though ... its about balance :)

Had 3 meals out so far since Monday. With friends watching Rubgy and 3 course meal tonight, then out to friends tomorrow.

For all those people who think life is going to end when you have a Band ... its not! You definitely can have a band and enjoy eating still ... just less volume and the right food choices and it can work for you.

Dietician and nurse appointment on Tuesday. Not sure what they will say. I reckon I need maybe a 0.25ml fill and that will be enough, to get me to 12st goal and then hopefully to stay around that mark.

Now off to find my recipe for John Tovey sticky toffee pudding to make for taking to friends tomorrow; feel I will be adding yummy toffee sauce (and not just a lick) to my mfp food tracker tomorrow morning :sigh: its gotta be done

Well done with your fab loss!! interesting that you've recognised totm means low or no loss. I've done no different this week but it has been my totm and only lost 1lb...not had this happen before but wonder if there's anything in it! Will hold my nerve before changing anything and see if I'm back to normal next week...I'm too use to my magic number 3! xx

Jo, you will get there. Any number off is good, even if its not a three.

Had a lovely dinner last night - proper bread for the first time since the op (albeit I did make it into melba toast), pate, caramelised onion relish, salmon with hollandaise and veggies. Now I know why I need a little fill this week. I managed to eat plenty but feel limited restriction... I had nowhere near as much as I would have done pre-op however I knew I would suffer when i peaked a sneak at the scales this morning  Thank goodness I have my last meal out this week, today, and then another 5 days till saturday weigh-in.

As Michelle says, you are still doing well losing when it's totm, I remember bad losses and even gains around that time when I used to go to fat club (dust anyone ;)). I think you are one of those who's head has been in the right place the whole time and you have done so well that a small loss is worrying to you. I wouldn't panic yet as what you have been doing has worked so far (((( hugs)))))

Ah thanks ladies, I will KEEP CALM & CARRY ON as they say! :) day 3 of decorating today which really interferes with meals as I need to grab n eat or not even bother to keep going, but will look back tonight to work out if I have a totm pattern...hope so in some ways as they I can pre-empt it!! still love my band immensely!! just we had a small fallout yesterday lol.

Considering buying a bike...and it's my OH birthday...and don't know what to get him...do could buy 2..but he may well kill me?! Lol :D

Have a good week my lovely ladies xxx

wk-34 post op

Gain of 1lb this week - but it could have been worse, it was 4lbs up last Sunday. They come and they go ... but heading in the right direction generally! At average of 1100 calories per day for the past week, I am confident I cannot have gone far wrong overall.
:devilangel:
OH heading back off to the states on Tuesday ... so long as they let him in with his attorneys letter. Then I have three weeks alone to focus on weight loss rather than going out eating all the time. I do like to think of the positive rather than the negative

No pooches this weekend - they packed their beds and went to the kennels last night for a wee holiday, so OH and I can returf 50m of the garden, clean the decking, plant flowers today...then go off shopping for new garden furniture (sold ours when we thought we would get the secondment visa and be renting out the house). Bring on the spring and BBQ season

Good morning :)

I bet that sticky toffee pudding was worth the pound though ;). Will all that work in the garden you are planning it will surely drop off you next week x

As I always say, I am not perfect and having a band does not make it easy. Yep that pudding was scrumptious - left the other half at our friends - so no temptation was brought home. That's the way that works for me ... feed everyone else up LOL :D Well done on your loss this week Chopster x

wk-35 post op

3lbs off for me this week - so dropped the 1lb gained last week plus a couple of new ones. averaged 1060 calories per day - so I know that aiming for 11-1200 per day average over the week is still the right thing for me. 12st13.6lbs...so just a teeny bit into the 12s but I round up, when I weigh in, so cannot claim that victory outloud until next week

mega hormonal binge - I admit now. 8 x rice cakes butter and jam - tasted great - but i definitely was not hungry - just a bad habit rearing its ugly head for one day only. as i always say, i am not perfect....but the band and my new mindset manages to put these things into perspective and not go off the rails.

v stressed at work :( stress is not a nice thing when i have a band as it makes it more difficult to eat!

family down for the weekend, so i am looking forward to lunch out and a shopping trip to get some clothes :) oh, i gotta stop clinging to my fat disguising, comfort clothes - and realise that the new me is size 14 :sigh:

roll off that last stone now!!!!!

wk-36 post op

3lbs off this week on an average of 1270 cals per day over the week. Done a little more pooch walking cos its getting lighter, so maybe that has helped me. Only 11lbs off my goal.

And I forgot to say last week, I am now a comfortable size 14. Bought a lovely top from monsoon whoop whoop :) Meeting a friend for coffee and clothes shopping today (its quite sad, I only have about a third of a wardrobe full of clothes at the moment after having sent around 7 bin bags full to the charity shop over the past few months) but its fun thinking of what sort of style I want to achieve, rather than having to shop online and having to rely on buying what fitted me, rather than what I actually wanted to wear...oh happy days.

Gonna force myself to have breakfast now - I am still stuffed after my little bit of excess last night at the rugby. I have been up since 5am and its now 8.30am - whoever would have believed that I could be up for 3.5 hours and not have eaten yet
