Firstly, I'd like to say a big thankyou Amanda for your posts! I find your food diary really helpful. And as for "pulling your socks up", all I see is a woman who is doing SO well and getting results which I can only hope to emulate :)

I am still fixed in the "carb" rut.... I think perhaps cos I'm vegetarian and seem to never have enough protein.

Today's menu (so far)

4 ryvita + 250gm cottage cheese
Banana
Calories (kcal) 528
Protein (g) 31.3
Carbohydrate (g) 60.7
Fat (g) 16.0

I also can't understand how you succeed in keeping your fat intake so low :(

Ah well, will keep on trying.... please don;t stop posting lol!

Thankyou for the nice comments sukay, but from your stats you seem to be doing pretty well yourself!! Maybe if with the vegetarian issue you aren't managing enough protein you could try the protein shots. I used to buy mine online for 1.25 each and they contain no fat no carbs and only 100 calories for 25gms of pure protein, they don't taste too bad either. I still have one occasionally if I am having a bad food day just to make sure my protein never drops. If you want the link just let me know and I will post it for you...

As for the fat intake, I try and steer clear of anything high in fat.. Very lean meat, chicken and fish, and no fatty sauces or stuff like that, and if I see my fat intake going up above 20 or 30 on a particular day, then I make sure I eat nothing else that day that has a high fat content.. But I don't always get it right believe me.. Maya is the absolute expert on all this she just seems to keep on losing and losing...

Just had a phone call from the dietician at bournemouth. She says that my last blood test showed vitamin d deficiency still and an iron deficiency, am really annoyed as I emailed the bariatric nurse there for these results a month ago, and she mailed me back and said that all was normal!! So now I have to go to my GP and get an iron supplement, and a loading course of Fortium D3, to take for six weeks which apparently he has to order as it is a 2000icu dosage or something like that... and then stay on the Fortium D3 instead of the calci chew and hope that solves the D deficiency... Ho hum!! Knew it was all going too smoothly.....

Buy yourself some 5000iu of vitamin D from amazon Amanda. It's made by healthy origins and costs £10 for a years supply. It sorted me right out. My vit D levels were at 12, now they are within normal range. The vit d from the docs are rubbish. The loading dose will be good for you though x

Thanks paula, I was just reading that the prescription vit d³ supplements aren't much good. I will take the loading dose for the six weeks and then buy a good supplement. Can you reccommend a reliable one??

Oh chrisa you can't leave the forums!!! You would be so missed.... Maybe you are just going through a bit of a stall!! You have done so well and look amazing xx

Well problem is if I start to feel its getting me down its time to go and I know that if you are all still losing and I am struggling I will end up being down and depressed and will wnat to keep eaten things I dont need dont want to fall in that trap again, thats why I will never go back to ww. Its my head, playing tricks, plodding on at mo, but thanks Amanda xx

Was just looking at your stats chrisa!! You weighed a lot more than me to begin with, so you have lost more weight than I have and you aren't gaining any back, I for one think that'spretty impressive xxx

Thanx lovely xx Sad though I know I will never get down as far as some of you thats just not my body. xx

This isn't a competition chrisa, we all go at our bodies own pace, and you are still losing not gaining!!! And you are much further out than most of us here, so you're losses are sure to have slowed compared to those who have just been bypassed xx

You looked absolutely lovely in that last pic with your sisters!!! It shouldn't be about being skinny skinny, but about looking great and being healthy, and that doesn't have to be a size 6 or 8. I for one would look like a corpse if God forbid I ever got that thin lol!! You are being far too hard on yourself
