bypass daily menu -

Thanks for replying you have lost loads and doing really well. I'm on week 2 of liver diet and I lost 5lb last week my diet is quite a good one with food or slim fast I've chosen the food I sort of worry I'm having to much as I fill up on the free green veg at night. the diet I've been given after is same as yours, what liquids did you drink and was it just a mouthful at a time. Do u take protein supplements at all? I've started on vitamins already, have a good day

I ate thin soup, such as chicken or tomato, you have to make sure you strain tinned soups for bits etc. I drank complan shakes and ovalatine and horlicks, NAS squash, Water and peppermint tea (im now addicted to fresh mint tea, boiling water with fresh mint leaves - devine. How times change i wouldnt have touched the drink pre op..lol)
I had think yogurts. I have justed started taking protein supplements, i have 1 or 2 (depends) of whey protein in a shaker from myprotein.com and ill drink milk, and have cheese and yogurts and lean meat to increase my protein when i feel i havent had enough. - At the very start of being post op, i ate very very little, 2 mouthfulls at the most, my bariatric nurse at my 6 week check explain this is completly normal and everyone is different, my surgeon was known to do a tighter pouch and this is prob the reason my restriction is still very tight and i do 'dump' which i LOVE!!! LOL

I was also advised to take supplments during my pre op diet, my dietician told me this is becuase you wont take any after your operation for a little while and the vitamins you had been taking is enough to see you through untill you are able to start them again. (again this is from my provider, yours may tell you different)

Breakfast: Red Berry Granola - Petit filous poured over the top (only managed 4 teaspoons)
Lunch:Shepards Pie More mince than mash
Dinner: One minted Lamb Chop with mint sauce and maybe some cauliflower - Mint sauce on the side.
Snacks: Handful of peanuts / Half a protein bar (Maybe)

One Protein Shake - NAS Squash - Tea

Yesterday
Breakfast 1 banana
Lunch - chicken drumsticks
Tea - sweet corn and more chicken drumsticks
Snack - 2 baby bel and 1 hot choc instants

Today
Breakfast - 1 banana
Lunch - 3 baby bel
Tea - chicken wrap with low fat chilly Philly
And 6 grapes
Snacks - ate tea early so going to have a hot choc instants later and maybe a hot and spicy drumstick as not eat much today.

Been walking with dogs. I want to loose 4lb by the 22nd may as then u will have lost 3 stone since the day of the op in 3 months.

Got all my old slim clothes down from the loft at the weekend. Loads of 18 and 16s. 16s look tiny! Am now a 20 but can get in some 18 tops x

Todays list!
Breakfast - skinny hot chocolate from Costa. Had to go into work for meeting, got upset and had mega headache so stayed off the coffee
Lunch - Wrap with chilly philly and chilli chicken and 1 babybel
Tea - 1 fishfinger, 2 pieces of spicy chicken drumstick with some indian yogart, 1 milkyway (very mish mashed)

Went to a zumba / latin dance class last night. First exercise class I have done since surgery! It was easier doing this not being as heavy and I think the regular walking has really helped my fitness.
