bypass daily menu -

Doesn't sound like you are eating too much to me. But that my weight loss is slow at best. Hopefully someone can help you soon :)
 
Am i eating too much?

I am 6wks post op & after losing just 2lbs in 2 weeks i'm wondering if i'm having too much.

I am struggling with fluids, i'm having about 1 - 1.25 litres a day of NAS juice.

I'm having either a scrambled egg or a weetabix & lots of ss milk for breakfast.

Lunch is either half a tin of lentil soup or baked beans & lf laughing cow cheese mixed together.

Dinner is either quorn chicken or mince with some vegetables & gravy.

I'm also having 2 protein shakes a day. Its protein powder (1 scoop) made up with 150ml of milk. I have one in the morning & one in the afternoon.

If i didn't have the protein shakes i don't think i'd be able to get anywhere near the recommended daily intake for protein. I am feeling a bit better for taking them, i was exhausted before starting on them but have a bit more energy now.

Sounds bout right at thta stage you don't mention having any fruit?? strawberries are lovely at the moment as are grapes, bananas and pears all fresh but you can blend them if you wish. YOu could even make a smoothie with them and your milk. xx:)
 
I tried so so hard to make sure my protein was high and when I saw the dietician at my six week check she saud to start to reduce it slightly and bring in fruits and vegetable which would not only help toileting issues (sorry!) But also boost my weight loss and boy was she righ try mixing more in to give yourself more balance, she warned a high protein intake could reduce my losses xx
 
That's interesting , I rarely eat fruit cos like you I concentrate on protein . My losses need a perk up so shall try that
 
Today all has stayed put

B 3/4 weetabix & Skimmed milk
L 3 strips chicken, 1/2oz lf cheese, salad leaves
D stew, cauliflower & 1/4 potato croquette

I won't have stew again. Although it was really tender I just didn't enjoy it.

I'll probably have porridge later

Drinks have been 4 cups peppermint tea, 2 cups NAS orange squash 1 cup normal tea

eat it as a snack, i try and have 2 a day 1 is sometimes my prune juice, and 2 veg portions, but try and eat protein first before attacking the others. :)
 
Today i have had
B 1 sachet of porridge blueberry flavour with ss milk
1 glass prune juice.
L chicken, strawberries, s/f jelly
S pear
D cauliflower cheese, turkey
S slice of brown multi seeded bread
Water, tea, coffee.

Wow, I have been making that mistake too. Gonna add more veg, salad and fruit now.

Mini cookware bowl of hot oats with added milk powder. Didn't finish it.

1/4 triangle of a wholemeal cheese sandwich (tolerated fine, but caused wind lol)

Grilled burger, low fat cheese slice, spoon of beans, spoon of macaroni cheese.

Gonna eat some veg later with some protein and have a hot options hot chocolate.

Last week I was feeling fullness a lot. Not feeling it this week. But I know when I am satisfied.

Fuffalina has been happy today. Had my fasTab first thing as normal :D
 
Yeah thats how I feel Fuffs, satisfied but not stuffed, i know when i am getting there and have had enough, I can t remember the last meal where i ate everything up. Get them fruit n veg slotted in girl, protein first though then the veg and fruit. xx
 
B - 3/4 ham & cheese on toast
L - smoked mackerel & 2 krisprolls
D - forgot to bring my dinner to work , lucky there was something left on trolley i could have ... white fish with ratatouille & cauli
tea , water , will have milk before bed
 
This weight loss journey is so confusing :sigh: :giggle:

I was advised to have a minimum of 60g of protein a day & i think i'm getting about 60 - 65g maybe.
I thought i was doing the right thing :confused:
I haven't been able to speak to the dietitian for the last 2 weeks when shes called. I did leave a list of questions for my husband to ask her but she refused to answer them :rolleyes:
He sorts out all my meals so it would have been helpful for her to answer them.
Hopefully i'll get to speak to her tomorrow.

I read about someone dumping after having a smoothie which has kinda scared me. Also i felt unwell after my husband made my NAS juice too sweet so i'm scared to eat fruit as its sweet :eek:
 
Unfortunately, we're all so different. I can eat anything although as I'm still mushy stage everything is cooked to within in inch of melting. But I have not had a moment's difficulty with food. The advice we get is also different. I guess we just have to plod along and hope for the best.

Just try it and see try it when you know you guna be at home. slowly slowly. xx

:eek: Hope I haven't upset folks, can only say what my dietician said to me and since doing it my losses have increased, my team don't allow salad until three months plus so I'm really looking forward to having some, in the meantime I steam my baby veg slightly and am into spinach at the moment, all I can say is try it and see what u think but check with your team if u gave any worries

Breakfast - some fresh pineapple and a ww fromage frais ate about 3/4 of it
Lunch - half a yellow pepper stuffed with mince, onions, garlic, basil and tomatoes with four pieces baby corn
Dinner - leftover mincemeat with some steamed spinach, one asparagus spear, two pieces baby sweetcorn

I agree with you , you have got the eating regime sussed. well done you xx
 
havn't upset me hunni , any suggestions as to up my weight loss i'm happy to hear & try :)
 
Well you can only give it a try can't you, introduce different things slowly and be careful with quantities if fruit but hope u get the boost you want xxx
