I used to roast a load of veg at the beginning of the week, peppers, mushrooms, brocolli and carrots. I'd spray with frylight, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder and then add them to chicken over the week. It would last the full working week and usually saturday too.

Snack - Special k cracker crisps. I will prob have a piece of fruit too.
Drinks - Lucozade lite sports drink. Water.
Exercise - A hour at the gym plus dog walk.

Thanks Bev, I am feeling a bit better. Just one of those days when the weight of the world was on me, lol.
Yve, seems like quite a sensible amount to me. I think at some point everyday I worry that my portion sizes will just keep increasing until I'm close to pre-op amounts. And then something will happen to remind me that that is a silly idea! I find eating out with people normally brings me back down to earth. I look on in amazement at how much others can fit in, and they look at me like I have an eating disorder! You know, I can eat something like 350g at a meal, I had a whole weight watchers ready meal last week. This is way above what we are supposed to be able to have (I was told would only manage max 250g ever by my dietician). I'm just trying to accept it, and trying to look on the positive side.

Was on shift night last night, so food topsy turvy.

B: Cold meats and sundried tomatos.
L: Chicken and bacon cabonara with spaghetti.
S: WW greek yogurt.
D: Beef chilli soup.
S: Macchiato and special K moment biscuit.

Good luck for the 40th shelley. I just find it easier not to talk to my sister, on account of her being a horrible human being. Here's my menu for today.

B - Fage with grapes & strawberries.
L - Salmon with mixed leaf salad & salad cream.
T - Leftover home made Shepards pie & veg.
S - 2 x crumpets with laughing cow.

Drinks - Tea, costa skinny latte with s/f hazelnut syrup, nas squash, water.

B- 5 cubes corned beef and 5 cherry tomatoes
S- fridge raider
L- ham sandwich
S- 2 bourbons
D- 1/4 husbands pizza
S- lolly

Thanks Paula, I didn't talk to her for quite some time but it upset my mum so now I just grin and bare it when my mum is there and don't see her any other time. I'm not drinking tonight so at least I know I will be able to keep my reactions to her nasty comments under control.

I'm so glad to see you managing normal portions again. Hope it is all on the mend now. How did the doc go?

Oh I forgot to say Happy 2nd Surgiversary Chrisa, hope you celebrated in someway, you deserve too :)

Consultant was annoyed it was put down to my bypass and is writing a stern letter to my GP to instruct him that if it happens again, I'm to be referred directly to gastroenterology irrespective of my surgery. He seems to think it may have been IBS, but he said that other causes can't be ruled out.

B: atkins shake. L: sandwich thin with a slice of turkey bacon and slice of LF cheese. S: protein bar after swimming D: leftover steak from yesterday with peas. S: will be fruit and maybe a babybell light. Drinks: 2.5 l flavoured water, milk before bed. Exercise: 60 lengths swimming, 30 minutes brisk walking.

Glad you're feeling a bit better. I have days like that too where i think I'm having too much, but as you say, even if we can get a ready meal in (which I've just had!), before I would have had other stuff with it, and dessert, and sweeties after, and wine etc etc, and of course a ton of food during the day! lol. Some of us can eat much more than others, and I'm definitely one of those. I try not to to worry about it and am kind of grateful that I can eat a decent meal and still lose weight. Take care and chin up, you're doing fab x

Hi everyone some lovely food choices, keep up the good work. Have managed to lose 1lb this week, have tried not to snack as much so its worked. I am maintaining really now though, so just monitoring it now and again. Tried a pot noodle yesterday for the 1st time in over 2 years fancied it, chicken n mushroom, ate just over 1/2 felt sick as adog, then it felt stuck. Had to have a cuppa to wash it all down and eventually dislodged it thank goodness won't be trying it again any time soon. xx

Oh Chrisa, not nice. I had half a pot noodle about a month ago and was fine. Goes to show how we are all different. Well done on the loss.

Well I didn't have mussels :( they weren't on the menu when I got there so I had Dab, which I hadn't had before with roasted red pepper and green beans. It came with new potatoes but I didn't have any and shared them out to everyone else there and managed to get through the meal with out ending up in the toilet!!! I think that is the first time since the surgery, I'm learning lol. Also my sister was a delight, she had a couple of glasses of wine, which she rarely does and she was nice! I shall buy her wine in future Ha :D

I've attached 2 pics from last night, both are rubbish quality but I'm wearing a dress I've been so excited to wear, it's a size too big but it still looks ok. See my legs out! lol.
