Yeah petal hope you feeling better soon. Must say I haven't really had an unwell stint since my op apart from my eyes. Just keep eating healthily and all ya vitamins going in. I am just cold all of the time till the hot flush comes after eating things, for a couple of minutes then am freezing again. xx

God I'm freezing too!! I can't get warm so have been putting 2 blankets over me with heating right up. Everyone else is sweating!! Lol

Is this because we are not eating much? X

I like to think of it like this, our body takes what it can from our small diet hence eating healthy and taking vitamins. It is surviving on so little to what it used to it uses everything up to keep us moving and living each day our heating thermostat is last on the list so most times doesn't work. Does that make sense. xx:confused::cry:

I love my thermals have 2 of each 2 vests and 2 long johns white n black. :D

Thermals and a vest?!!! Not likely LOL!!!!

I have worn thermals throughout the cold winter months and will continue to do so. It makes such a difference the bus stops I use to and from work are cold windy places even in summer and always freezing especially this time of year. I have 2 thermal vest tops one is a vest the other t shirt, and 2 long johns in white n black. My feet suffer the most, I like to get a hot bath when I am really cold after coming home form work. Then nice clean jim jams on dressing gown, have some bed boot/slippers from Asda n I also put on the little fleecey footlets from Primark on before putting on the bootees because they keep my feet toasty and keep the heat in from the bath. If my feet are cold I stay cold my hands are usually like ice. For only a few pounds it can make such a difference. I get mine for Christmas n birthday God sends I think they are, hate being cold. This cold weather makes me look pale I look much better with a bit of sun on my face. xxx Don't knock it till ya tried it. Asda thermals are brilliant xx

fjsinc I think you are doing really well keep up the good work. I enjoy a bit of fish from the chippy, I love the batter but eat little or none of it, try and remove it before I try to eat it. Usually have 4/5 chips if I'm lucky but its nice to be normal isn't it ? It is good to hera that you can cope with the cold I cannot. At work when I go in especially on an evening I start at 4pm work til 12 then sleep til 7am get up n go home bout 9.30am. I whack the heating up close all the windows n blinds in lounge tuck curtains behond radiatior push one couch away from radiatior to allow the warm air to circulate. I have had a number on young people say I love it when you are on shift because it is always warm. I turn it down around 10 pm so that its not too hot to sleep. xx

Can't agree more Chrisa, a little of what you fancy and all that. A great gift from the surgery has been feeling like a normal person with a normal appetite. I never feel guilty about what I eat now, I just love that! I know some people might disapprove of some of the things I eat, but I don't believe in denying anything. I believe that we should work on developing a good relationship with food, and eat well for our health.

B: 1 large egg dry fried with slice ham on small piece toast.
S: glass milk.
L: 50G Luxury nut mix.
D: lean beef chilli with tbsp rice.
P: choc chip cookie

Mashed banana and milk is yum

Are you post op? I have been trying banana and 1 egg as an omelette sounds so wrong but it is nice and its a protein and a fruit all in 1 so its a good meal and fills me up, sometimes have it for breakfast or if I am going out for a meal I have it as a meal that day so that am not using up all my quota for the day on carbs. Then when you go out if you want some carbs then you have counted for it. No need to feel guilty if ya sensible, always up on the protein n try and have the fruit n veg every day. xx;)
