bypass daily menu -

Merry Christmas. Dreading getting weighed in morn. Have had company so been drinking and eating more, however my feeder instincts have been in overdrive! I have been trying to avoid carbs as much, having protein but also had chocolate but in small chunks. Anyway will post weight in morn and going to try and post menus in 2014 xxx

Yesterday's menu:

Breakfast:
Cheese and biscuits and grapes

Treat: mini fun size pack of haribo

Lunch:
Home made minestrone with chunks of chicken, a spoonful of pasta and Parmesan cheese

Dinner:
Pull pork and cheese potato skins with homemade coleslaw

Snacks:
Salted peanuts

Went to the pub last night in a long time and had 2 rose's.

Fluids: water, milk, tea, peppermint tea and NAS squash

Well dead is done and I am 11.11 still! Did ensure bowels etc were empty before I got weighed but hey. So stayed the same. At a party tonight again but feel inspired now!
Planned meals for today-
Breakfast - crumpet
Lunch - soup
Tea - party food, I am making a curry. Stay away from carbs
Stick to vodka lime and soda tonight.

Week 5

Breakfast 1/2 pint mug tea

Snack 1/2 pint mug tea

Lunch. 2 egg scrambled with some melted cheese

Dinner. 3 crackerbread with low fat cottage cheese, big pot petis filos.

Fluids. Lots of water, 2 cups coffee,protein shake
 
Yesterday I had

B: yolk of an egg 1 tinned tom half eye of bacon
S: dairylea triangle
L: cube of cheese smear mango chutney
D: 1/4 chicken breast & carrots

Drinks were NAS grapefruit squash and diluted apple juice
 
Borough girl I have been similar to you keeping carbs low and keeping the protein fruit n veg goin in have had alcohol vodka diet coke and bit of chocolate but nothing excessive had proper dinner every day just all veg from Christmas lunch with protein. xx Getting weighed later on in week xx

Hi butterfly x. How are you having your chicken breast? I'm really struggling with meat in general, can only tolerate mince and white fish so far.

Does anyone have any good ideas for tuna? I really fancy tuna on jkt potatoe or mash, but don't want to risk mayonnaise or salad cream!? X
 
I have had low fat mayonnaise as a dressing/sauce to aid it go down use to have it on chicken to stop it being too dry just don't have too much. could try making your own google a recipe. What about pilchard in tomato sauce or mackerel or you could try wwtuna mayo but miss out the sweetcorn at this stage can get stuck xx
 
Oh pilchards in tomatoe sauce!! Yum I hadn't thought of that!! Thanks Hun. I've just bought low fat mayonnaise and salad cream so will give them a go with tuna and mash! :). Looking forward to that! X

I was fine with it, I cut it up into teeny tiny bits then chewed well, had chicken tikka masala tonight (about 2 tablespoons full)

The ultra light mayo maybe ok?
 
Sounds like you are doing really well! I think youre only 1 week ahead of me, I'm 5 weeks post op tomorrow, yet I can't seem to get off the sloppy stage!

Dying to chew on a raw carrot!!! :) x
 
I can't do mash as half a teaspoon fills me up so I avoid it now, I am going for mainly protein :)
 
Really?! I manage to eat nearly a whole ready meal of either fish pie or cottage pie!!.....I've wondered if I'm eating too much, yet I don't feel any restriction or discomfort.....!
 
Well ive had a couple of days of scoffing. Feel a bit sicky like I did when I ate to capacity pre op. Reasuring as im only eating enough to maintain now. Just all the wrong things of course! Im not worried, my body and mind are already craving my normal diet.
Managed to near enough send myself into a coma by having a small glass of baileys, wont be doing that again in a hurry.
I have gained 3 lbs, but it happened overnight, and is expected as part of my normal pre menstrual symptoms.

Sounds like you've enjoyed yourself like I have :) I have had totally the wrong things this week but as you am craving normality! Although new year to come yet which is always a big thing up north!

Fjsinc its good to know that we can feel our bodies craving what we should be having not what we would truly love. I have had a canany time of eating not huge amounts but have had alcohol n chocolate, small amounts. Today I had a toasted teacake for breakfast, went shopping came back had a coffee and 3 celebrations. Lunch time tried a cheese n ham ciabatta sandwich thingy left ciabatta just ate ham with bit melted cheese on it. Shortly after I could feel a niggle of indigestion/heartburn, I have taken a ranitidine tablet but still grumbling on, pain coming n going in the lower tummy looks like it didn't like summat. Guna be a dry tea for me later possibly crackers or just ham n pease pudding even. xxx Our bodies are strange xx
 
Hi today's menu
Breakfast - half a banana and 2 babybel
Lunch - salad tub with pasta and egg from work, ate half
Snack - 3 chocolates from work
Team - got a Sunday roast ready at home
Still maintaining which is nice. Came off my pill so wondering if that impacts my weight after being on it for years.
