bypass daily menu -

Peel the apple Shelley just in case!!

Breakfast - 35g pronutro (a portion is 50g but I can't manage that)
Lunch - half an individual ww crustless leek n ham quiche, one tbsp beans
Dinner - slow cooked lamb, two n half new pots tbsp steam veg n mint gravy

Snack - two slices ham and two green olives

Bought a new bright pink yoga mat so spent twenty minutes doing stretches, press ups (girlie ones) and holding the plank posture (now abs on fire) tried some sit ups but technique needs to improve i felt like an upturned turtle!!! also did an hours zumba class.


Drank lots of tea and 500ml water at zumba

Good for you May I love to do exercises wile i watch tv, i often get my pilates ball out and bounce up and down on it while watching tv the time flies over and do some exercises with it too, no problem doing sit ups and leg exercises, the preesups n plank are more difficult because i can't kneel on 1 knee to start or finish which makes things difficult, good on ya though cos they work and get you toned upwhen done regularly, also have the rubber bands that help you stretch, you will be aching tomorrow if they are burning now, hot relaxing bath, xx

Loving this thread - thank you. I am pre op so helping me understand what I can expect post op.

One question though - what is 'IF' cheese? :)

Been such a busy weekend, cant even remember what I did saturday? I think it mainly consisted of housework and shopping for daughters birthday party which was yesterday. I drank more than I ate on Saturday I think Saturdays menu was:
Breakfast : Glass of SS milk
Lunch : Left over chicken and salad from dinner
Dinner : Children's bowl of rice krispies

Yesterday we had a big family bbq for my daughters 5th. It went really well and we had 31 people over. I didn;t get off my feet untill nearly 7pm - exercise! lol
Yesterdays menu was:
Breakfast : Mcdonalds scrambled egg and sausage patty thing, bit of a muffin (not good I know but it was b/f on the go)
Lunch : Late afternoon after guests ate) 1 small chicken thigh, 1 small baby new potato, tbs salad 1/2 gherkin - left most of the salad and bit of the chicken.
2 slices of banana, 1 mini donut, 2 cubes of pineapple 1 heaped tsp of melted galaxy!!!! I was ok and it was beautiful lol we had a chocolate fountain.
Dinner - 1/2 small burger well a bite gave rest to dog it was too hard. 1 small chicken thigh, table spoon salad, 1/4 large pitta (1/2 cut in 1/2 again) heaped teaspoon of chive dip. 1 small strawberry dipped in chocolate.

Drinks: 1 pint of pineapple juice watered down. 2 cups of water. 1 cup fresh oj with water
Snacks: Bite of sesame seed bread stick, bite of cheese twist, 1 large new potato. 1 carrot stick.


I've been getting alot of pain this weekend when eating. like real bad indigestion. I think maybe where been so busy and rushed I've either not chewed properly or eaten too fast or a combination of both. Will keep an eye and make a mental note to chew chew chew slowly lol.

Very happy to report of loss of 7lb this week :D:bliss:
 
Does anyone have problems with new potatoes and/or chicken thighs legs? I'm still getting this pain in my chest, it's quite sharp and then I get hiccups after. I have made sure I've eaten slowly and chewed well. Maybe these foods are too firm for me?

Breakfast (late) - 1/2 chicken thigh, 1 cucumber stick in dip and 2 carrot sticks in dip
Lunch(late) - 1 small chicken thigh, 1 small pork medallion loin thin, tbs salad 1 cucumber stick, 1 carrot stick, tbs chive and onion dip.
Dinner - 4 carrot sticks, 3 cucumber sticks, onion and chive dip, 2 small new potatoes no pain so must be chicken. 1/2 pitta with choc spread (that tipped me over the edge!)

Drinks 1 lrge cup of tea, 1 glass fresh oj with water, sips of bottled water about 1/3 regular bottle, working through a pint of fresh pineapple juice with water

Snacks - 1 small chicken drumstick

Yes & yes! I can't even do chicken at all even slow cooked for hours. Even tried minced thighs & that just made me feel sick but no pain. Available in Tescos fresh meat counter. Have given up on it for a while. Will try in another 6 weeks. New potatoes a no no too. Can do the inside of a baked potato but do mash it a bit with a fork & some grated cheese or reduced fat prawn cocktail.
I am struggling with pain & acid yesterday & today. Hardly eaten anything today as been travelling back from France all day. Trying to keep fluids up though.
 
On occasion I will, and I def eat less of those types of food - I have to take a bite chew chew chew n then not swallow the whole bite at once - nice!! Lol
Breakfast - stewed rhubarb (no added sugar/sweatener) n lf Greek yoghurt
Lunch - leftover lamb, New potatoes, veg
Dinner - 1/3 ww crustless quiche, one baby beet, two olives, one melba toast n lf Philly, one slice ham

An hours zumba tonight then copious cups of tea and bed x

634 cals eaten and 500 burnt at zumba :)
 
glad its not just me! I only seem to be ok with chicken breast and I have to slow cook in in water so its really tender.

Maya I wish I had your appetite! You seem to eat nothing compared to me!
 
Yes and yes!! I was sick yesterday with new potatoes and chicken dry yes!

Today's menu

Breakfast Dorset cereals with added pineapple and papya, ss milk

Lunch half a hot dog.

Dinner lasagne and garlic bread 1 piece

Snack 3 crab sticks and handful of nuts.1/2 bag of frazzels don't know why!

3xlemon tea pint of peach juice, 500 ml water

Will try and get some milk in before bed!

Anna, you might just need to give it time on all parts. Try the potatoes and chicken again in a while and it might go down better. I can manage chicken ok, it is the thing that leaves me most full for sure and I have to take it slow but I haven't tried potatoes yet apart from inside of jacket and mash. So will have to try some new pots. As for your appetite you might find it gets less with time, I'm definitely finding mine reducing and my blood sugar levels (not diabetic, hypoglycaemic) seem to be evening out, meaning I can go much longer between eating if I need too. I'm pretty sure I remember feeling the need for more food at 6/7 weeks than I am now and I'm only a few weeks on from you, maybe that is because you've not completely healed yet so haven't got all your nerve endings working. I think it all takes time as usual lol :)

Breakfast - 2 crispbreads, 1 with avocado and 2 seafood stick and 1 with avocado and lf mozzarella.
Lunch - Waitrose king prawn and cocktail sauce pack. Gave my mum the last couple as couldn't finish it.
Dinner - Olives and lf feta cheese.
Snack - Lightly salted edamame
Drinks - Half a diet protein shake, small oj/water, 2 pints of water, 1 large tea with soy, ribena really light, and a SoBe sugar free vitamin water. I love these, especially the ginger and mango.

I also walked to town and back to get a prescription for my mum. I had no choice really because the buses are rubbish around here, one every hour at most. It took about an hour and was hard going but I managed :D my feet bloody hurt now though lol :)
 
Menu today
B brown multi seeded bread with hard boiled egg and tomato
L salad, tiny piece of pepper pizza, salad leaves n tomato. Strawberries 1 small profiterole
D 1 chicken burger, peas
water, tea
S 1 small ice cream, been to friends caravan in Amble lovely day xx

Reckon your right Shelley, some days I dont feel like eating at all but of course do, some days I feel like I could eat all day lol!

Ate too much at dinner time now feel really bloated and sicky :( tut tut x

I'm really strict with trying to keep my portions small, I am terrified of stretching my pouch and I really try not to eat anything overly sweet/sugary/calorific/carb-filled!! I want to get down to under ten stone and I'm 15.9 at the moment so can't afford to start slipping!! Xx
