i must admit i have had all types of meat since my op even on the pureed stage right upto today my sheet used to say that pieces should be no bigger than the size of a rubber on a pencil top, even then you have to chew chew chewSo it is possible just some people can't manage it. Prefer chicken myself but do enjoy it for a change xx

Yeah my steak went down fine, it was only 80g and very tender cooked medium rare, made sure no on it fat etc. I'm very lucky that I can consume most things that I was advised I probably wouldn't be able too but obviously in much smaller portions and I eat tiny bites slowly. Having said that I can have days when the pouch says no, the other day I had chicken which I've had lots of times before and It come straight back up on the second mouthful so it's all a bit unpredictable but I always try new things at home on my own for the first time so I can take my time over it :) x

Breakfast - three melba toast with lf Philly and sliced red grapes on top
Lunch - salmon teriyaki, one prawn korroke, one chicken goyoza
Dinner - two lighter choice sausages (155cal for two) roast onion, pepper and plum toms

Tea, 500ml water and water with NAS juice

yoU might surprise yourself you never know may be a pound or 2 off by Monday, stay confident. :8855:

When I first had op a couple of times I weighed more than once a week and was disappointed. Now I stick to once a week.

I was just going to agree Anna, You could easily lose 2 pound by monday. I've gone all week staying the same then lost 2 pound over night. I use to weigh myself everyday and now I've cut it down to twice a week, I want to get down to just once a week but I find it really hard. Thinking about asking someone to look after my scales during the week! Obviously still having issues of self control lol. Good luck for your next weigh in, I'll keep my fingers crossed :) x

I love this thread!! Can't wait for the day I can actually chew food again!! Pureed food just isnt the same somehow lol!!

Won't be too long now, thats why I used to like puree-ing my veg separately so that i could put them up into pots to make a Sunday lunch type dinner, with two or 3 different veg so that it looked like a lunch not just soup. That kept me going a good while I still keep dinners for myself from the sunday lunch its quick easy meal that just need zapping in microwave, used to have it with lamb n mint sauce, or chicken and stuffing, or beef n mint sauce, delish and mind over matter it was like an ordinary lunch. xand gave me a new range of tastes stead of just bland food. xx

When you go onto mushy and crunchy/smooth from purée it's heaven. Purée was awful for me, especially as I was being sick all the time too. Makes me to shudder to think about it but it was only 4 weeks and then there is so many more options :)

Breakfast - two thirds of a slice of toast
Lunch - chicken and mushroom curry made with a weight watchers sauce
Dinner - will be left overs from lunch
Snacks - Grapes and crackers
Drinks - Tea, OJ, water

I've officially lost the most weight I've ever lost in my life now. That makes all this feel more than worth it now and I'm not even 3 months out. So excited about my future :D

Lunch - piece pollock with sundried tomato and herb crust
Dinner - 1.5mashed eggs, three melba toast, sliced cuecumber

Congratulations on dropping another dress size. Can you change it? Nice lunch - like pollack if it has a sauce or something with it. Very sustainable fish.
