Yes I do Amanda Hun and I have to stop myself from eating! I have to stay on puréed for 4 weeks then mash for 2 weeks then normal food. I would have thought all of the hospitals would give same info. Lucky you on mash! Enjoy xxx

I am jealous, was told not to east mashed potato's, but mashed butternut squash or sweet potato, and this stage is for 4 weeks not 2, seems that there is a lt of differing advice amoung the hospitals.

Hello New ladies to the stream :) xx

Breakfast - fat free yoghurt, red grapes
Lunch - raw pepper slices, peeled cuecumber, three crabsticks and lf Philly
Dinner - 3/4 sweet potato gratin, half a tuna kebab stick

Tea and water with NAS orange

Bit of a rubbish day food wise I'm afraid. I've not had anything unhealthy just haven't eaten properly. I got a chicken, prawn and edamame bento box from waitrose and had half of that over the day. I tried some of the purple rice that came with it and it was very nice but only managed a teaspoon full as is does make you super full. Really felt restriction with that, which is good because of the carbs but still got a taste. I shall have a better day tomorrow! :)

Hello all,

I have been following this thread for a little while so thought I may as well join the party I am three months out now and been doing well so far, although I am sure that the rate weight is coming off must slow down soon - I am now getting into size 14 skirts and trousers! You'll see a lot of eggs in my posts! One a day for breakfast. I need to work on upping my fruit intake, it was good but has reduced in recent weeks. I also find that some days I seem to be able to eat more than others. I am trying very hard to up my calories a bit as I have a lot of 'black outs' which are quite disturbing. I think it may be due to very low carbs in my diet, but they fill me up so quickly and make me feel very bloated - am going to try to have a small tortilla wrap today.

Yesterday

B. Boiled egg
L. Chicken breast, about 50g, a bit of salad with tarragon dressing
D. Small chicken leg, a bit of salad with tarragon dressing
S. Apple

Yes possibly lack of carbs, my dietician advice was 2-3 carbs a day. xx try and introduce them steadily if its a problem carbs are never a problem to me limiting them is my problem. xx

Hello Ladies!
Well done on the weight losses! Great amounts! Everyone is doing so well!

I've had a manic 48hrs or so! We did the car boot monday which was great - luckily father in law had the kids. Got home about 2pm and I cracked on with housework, made dinner, sorted the kids then I went to work for my night shift. Straight from work yesterday morning I went to another car boot/market - I now have a running market stall with various items all new and packaged and I love it! Just hope it works.
So my menu was all over the place yesterday. I was at the market until one and got home unloaded the car sorted the kids out and bits and I was so tired I felt sick and head achey.
Today however I am taking it easy until I go back to work tonight no market until friday lol. So my menu for yesterday was:

B- 1/2 slice white bread 1 rasher bacon
L - left over chicken breast with salad, 2 tbs extra light mayo
D - tortilla wrap with breaded chicken mini fillets and iceburg. Onion, carrot, cucumber salad.
Snacks - small bowl of asda honey crunch (made me sick?! Too much sugar I guess in a bow I can cope with a tbs sprinkled over fruit) 1 pack of quavers. 1 tuc cracker.
Drinks - 4 cups of tea. 2 glasses of water. 1 glass of ribena extra light
Totals: 969cals, 90g carbs!! 13g sat fat, 57g protein.

This morning I woke up thinking I might do slimfast for a little while. My mum advised against it and said just carry on what I was doing. I felt really bloated and icky yesterday and thought it was because I was eating too much and it was all rubbish. Looking back on my menu if my carbs weren't so high it wouldn't be so bad. The carbs is whats done the bloating I reckon?
Back on form today. So we see how it goes. Will add todays menu later.
Hope everyone is well xxx

I think your mum is right Anna, you are doing well and don't think you can get enough nutrition from slimfast. It's not sustainable as well. If you are feeling bloated you could try just reducing carbs a tiny bit (90's isn't much at all anyway, I aim to have a limit of 70 a day but seeing as someone eating just a balanced diet can have between 180-230g a day it's not bad at all) Aim for 70g or below and when you do eat carbs try complex carbs like wholegrain bread or wraps. You could cut out breakfast or lunch and replace it with a protein shake once in a while but you are still better off eating a more balanced diet. You didn't eat all rubbish yesterday, the bread and wrap are fine, the chicken and salad are great and you can still have bacon but I would grill it with the fat cut off and you can get the lean stuff too if possible. You are doing well hun, try not to have the crisps and sugared cereal too often, I know you don't but other than that you get a really varied diet and that's a good thing. You need that and you will stay healthy and continue to lose weight :)

Plans for today -
Breakfast - half a slice of toast with scrambled egg. Couldn't eat all the toast much to my naughty dog's delight.
Lunch - Ham salad.
Dinner - Going to have a tiny pork medallion with reduced sugar baked beans.
Snack - Grapes as I'm obsessed with them and crackers with lf pate/feta if I need them.
