bypass daily menu -

Thanks ladies. Yes I'm an avid user of my fitness pal. I track my weight loss, inches lost and everything I eat. Most dieticians recommend we don't pay much attention to the scales or calories etc but I like to know what I'm putting in my body now, before when I was healthy eating I would do a lot of guess work so this way I know I can't fool my self. So far it seems to be working. I'll reassess if it ever becomes a problem. It is encouraging to look at previous weights/measurements and see the numbers go down too :) x

I do my fitness pal about once a week and am always surprised by how low my calories are. I had a day when I thought I had really overeaten, it was 600 cals! Increasing (or should I say introducing) the carbs has been helpful for me, only one black-out spell in the last few days,

B - 1 egg
L - wheat and white wrap, 1/4 small tin tuna, chopped onion and pepper and a squidge of mayo
D - 1/4 of yesterdays left-over cheese and tomato pizza, some lettuce and a bit of coleslaw
S - apple, 2 tasteless rice cakes

Breakfast - weetabix bar
Lunch - olives chunky chicken lf salad cream
Dinner - raw baby carrot, lf Philly, chicken, olives
Snack - roast edamame beans

Ladies you are all doing amazingly well.

I have felt a bit of a fraud following you these last few weeks and not able to contribute..........but received a call from the hospital this afternoon and I am to get my bypass nextWednesday!!! Blooming eck - nothing like been surprised. I discussed it with my dietician last week and he said I would get at least two weeks notice!

Looking forward to continuing to reading your menus and getting even more hints and tips. Xx

Good luck with your op Annie xxx

Hello! Dear me didnt realise I hadnt posted for 3 days! I've been so busy what with working nights and my new market stall! Food been going well. Carbs were a bit high the other day but have evened it out last two. Took the kids to Adventure Island fair ground last night and I am so so pleased I went on every ride with them!! Something that I couldn't do before! The kids loved it and it was that little bit extra special for me. Also looked at a photo of me taken queing for a ride and looked at it when we got home. It's the first one I've seen since surgery and I couldn't believe the difference! I will try and upload later. Few things stressing have returned but I have rose above it and not given into the the fridge comforting me or cigarettes! I am staying focused.
Looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow!

Well I went to a school reunion last night, wouldn't have gone six months ago especially after walking in my school sweetheart scooped me into a huge bear hug - six months ago his arms wouldn't have gone round me and is have broken his back! As it happens I didn't flinch at every hug and didn't feel like it was me that was the elephant in the room! Had a couple of drinks (vodka fresh orange) over lots of ice and sipped slowly for a looooooong time and went for an Indian I had a starter and a teaspoon of a couple of other bits didn't feel bloated or piggy which is always good lol

Good for you mayamoo.... Must be a wonderful feeling realising that you aren't big anymore, and meeting all your old schoolmates again. Sounds like you had a great evening xxx

It was lovely to see some old faces but there were some absent friends that made me appreciate everything #RIP xx

Aawwww mayamoo that's brilliant, a really good NSV to go along to a school reunion and feel comfortable with everyone. Glad you had a fantastic time.
Xxx
