Mayamoo.. After seeing your photos you will have no problem fitting on all of the rides.. You are going to have a wonderful time I'll bet.. xxx

Hope you are having a great time Maya. It's boiling out there so you will get a tan whilst you are queuing.

Well I'm feeling rough as hell and I deserve it. Yesterday was a bit of a lost day I'm afraid but I did have a good time. Staying at friends it was difficult to stay on top of nutrition and I went out last night and had 3 glasses of wine. I had planned to drink but I didn't realise I'd feel guilty about a day where I didn't count calories or be as strict as usual. Anyway It's not something I'll do often, especially after how guilty I feel and how rough I feel today but it was good to let my hair down. Oh and if you've not drank yet and you decide to at some point in the future be careful because they aren't lying when they say it effects you more. I was fine whilst drinking but when I stopped It was time for bed! plus It makes you peckish after so I had a few bits of chicken ready for me to eat when I got home so I didn't make any silly choices :)

Yesterday's menu

Breakfast - 2/3's of a piece of toast
Lunch - Marks and spencers prawn and squid in a tandoori marinade. This is a little snack pot and it comes with mint yoghurt. Lovely and the squid is very tender so no probs going down. Also surprisingly low in fat and calories.
Dinner - Ate out for the first time and had a very tiny (asked the waiter to have a starter as a main course and for a small portion of it) salad with pomegranate juice over it. Lovely.
Snack - 8 grapes and 4 small pieces of chicken. 3 glasses of white wine!

Not sure what I'll eat today yet. Will post it later :)

Thanks everyone. It was for my birthday (which is wednesday) so I had a fab time thanks. My friends thought it was hilarious that I could get tipsy on so little. They also were fascinated with how long it took me to eat too. They had to wait for me even though I'd only had a starter and they had starters a mains. It was a very cheap night too. My meal came to £11 including tip and I didn't even have to by my drinks :D I think I'll hold off before having another drink though as don't want it to effect my weight loss especially in the first year so just special occasions. I couldn't help myself and worked out my calories for the day yesterday and it was fine too, much less than expected and well within the range I'm allowed for my bodyweight. Just not what I stick to as normal but that's fine for a one off :)

Today

Menu -

Breakfast - Boiled egg
Lunch - Dairylea Ritz
Dinner - low fat hot dog with reduced salt/sugar beans
Snack - Grapes and Ryvitas

Lots and lots of water to rehydrate myself :)

Oh there were tears .... Of laughter! Had an amazing day with some amazing people, fit v easily on everything so much so was genuinely terrified on oblivion (the veryical drop one) as when we dropped I was slim enough to lift out of my seat and against the safety harness, shocked me I was expecting to be well and truly pinned! I go back in October as ive got free tickets, can't wait - oh n walked miles and ate half a chilli chicken (grilled) n salad wrap for lunch (burger king less that 300cals)

That's fantastic, been thinking about you all day. So glad you had a good day, and knew you'd have no problems fitting on all the rides. Well done you.
Xxx

Happy birthday for Wednesday Shelley and maya I'm so pleased you had a great time. Just back from london seeing lady Gaga. I'm totally shattered and eating and drinking went right out of the window. So back on track tomorrow.
Amanda how are you doing. Iv been looking at your menue and you said you have had bacon. We're you ok with that? Thought we could only eat meat after 6 weeks. I would love to be able to start eating properly now but I'm a bit scared. Is it possible to eat meat, chicken 4 weeks post op, what do you guys think? Or give me some suggestions on what I can eat instead of LF Philly on crisp bread. Don't like eggs and sick to death of yoghurts. Thanks xxxx

Hi Dimond what bout some pate, n can you eat tuna? You could always make some kind of spread with your philly add some chopped pepper n garlic, cucumber, onion, whateva you like just make sure you chew the bits . Load of things yiou can add in for different flavours, peanut butter?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong chick but have you phoned you're bariatric team yet? I havnt tried food like that yet as I'm afraid but maybe I could eat that too. Iv had a small tin of spaghetti and sausages and ate all of it and probably could have eaten more as did not feel full but again its carbs before protein! I really do need to get the protein in me but indont like eggs, cottage cheese or pate like chrisa has suggested sonim screwed really. Inwould eat chicken and bacon but inthought we wernt allowed yet. Are you eating fruit with skin on eg grapes? I think you are doing really well Amanda but like we've said before especially for your piece of mind, you need to contact your team. Xxxxxxx

Forgot to ask Amanda how are you adding to your weight loss on your messages. I can't seem to fathem it out how to do it ? Xxx

hi dimond to add to your weight loss on your message.. just go to the user control panel and edit signature and you can type in whatever you want there and save it, and that will be part of your signature..... I have spoken to my team today, and they say that restriction will come, and that yes definitely i did have a full bypass, and that food wise what i am eating is fine if I am coping with it, and not being sick or getting pain, which im not. They also said that if I still have concerns they can be addressed at my post op appointment on the 27th of this month....

Oh sorry dimond forgot your question about fruit with skin on.. I am not really eating fruit at the moment, as it is all so high in carbs. I have tried a small piece of watermelon and that was fine and also a strawberry no problem there either..

Hi Amanda, thanx for you're reply. I hope speaking to you're team has put you're mind at rest. I think you are doing amazing. I got weighed today and stayed the same! I also contacted my team as I feel totally exhausted and sick all all of the time. My specialist nurse told me that I'm not eating or drinking enough and should be trying different foods now so I'm going to try dry chicken etc butbas she said only tiny amounts, the Things that you are eating really and see how that goes. I think this is one of the hardest things Iv ever had to do. You get told that you will lose you're appetite and cravings for sweet stuff, So i thought " great this will be easy to control " but no it's the other way round lol. I'm sure we will get there in the end. Stay strong and positive sweetie and I'll try to aswell!!! Take care xxx
