bypass daily menu -

Im so sorry you are still struggling with the sickness and tiredness dimond... I must admit I never seem to feel hungry really anymore, and have lost my sweet tooth completely. Its just that when I do eat things do seem to go down really well!!! Maybe trying different foods now in small quantities will help dimond, as it will bring some variety back into your diet. We will both find our happy medium in the end I'm sure, but try and keep your chin up and not let it get you down too much.. xxxx

Thanks chick take care xxx

I know its difficult girls as its still early days for you both, I still stick roughly to what they told me when i had the op. I don't calorie count, don't eva want to go down that route again, I just try n stick to 2 fruit 2 veg, 6 protein, 2-3 carbs a day with all the fluids i try to eat healthily i still don't feel hunger but do fancy stuff, as you know I have tried to substitute sweet things for bread sticks n crackers etc, i am managing though and persevering. I still eat protein 1st and fruit n veg and then carbs, i have a good idea what a portion is but don't measure anything now and the weight is still coming down slowly now though as its overa year, but i still have tired days, but we just have to keep on plodding onwards.

S 1 granola bar-ginger crunch
L 1 dairylea ritz, strawberries, n 1 nectarine

how do you cook the tesco healthy living bacon medallions to stop them going really dry shellymarie. I grilled mine, but there were seriously dry!!

Ah thanks yves that sounds a lot nicer than the way that I did them.. xx

Had a lovely weekend away. Had no issues with eating out or at others houses which is good. I worked hard at keeping the carb intake up - still not managing to fit in two snacks a day. Will work at this this week.

Yeah you can cook them with some gravy. I use one of those lean grilling machines and then I dipped it in the poached egg. It still was a little dry but I seem to be ok with that. I wouldn't have been earlier on though so the gravy is a great idea or have one with some beans :) x

Today -

Breakfast - Bacon sandwich - made with 1 slice of bread, flora light and 1 reduced fat bacon medallion.
Lunch - 5 strawberries. Soft boiled egg with a couple of crackers to dip in it.
Dinner - Chinese style pork steak (no fat, grilled) with spinach salad.
Snack - Might had some lf feta and ryvitas if I'm still awake later.

710 cals 50g carbs 58g protein.

Think I'm coming down with something. Such a sore throat so going to have some OJ and get another early night after dinner. Such a shame as been feeling so well which I put down to the bypass :)
