When I am away next week from mate is wanting to take me and o/h out for a chinese.

The worry I am having is what to eat!

Was thinking of just a crabmeat/sweetcorn soup as a main or possibly a couple of scallops with some sort of sauce.

Any other suggestions, bearing in mind I am on monday 11 weeks post op.

Cheers in advance

Those suggestions sound good. Just be careful with Chinese sauces for hidden sugar - obviously anything like sweet and sour or BBQ is going to have tons in but black bean or garlic and ginger might be good. If it's a good restaurant that cooks fresh they might do you some fresh scallops with just a touch of garlic, something like that, always worth asking. Prawns, tofu and veggies might be a good choices too. I love Chinese and have missed it so you'll have to let us know how you get on as I'd love to try one at some point :) x

Luckily mate knows the manager quite well so was going to ring before hand.

I do need things with some sort of sauce on as find the likes of fish very dry on its own. May just play safe with the soup

Hi everyone.. Glad to see you back posting again dimond, was beginning to worry about you.... Well I had a really great first day back, and nothing but good comments.. Some of my colleagues actually walked past me without recognising me lol!!! And nobody asked me how come i wasnt thin yet?? So was a really nice shift.. On the downside I succumbed to a cadburys low fat light chocolate mousse!!!! it was wonderful and I didnt dump but am so cross with myself for eating it..

B 100ml Skim milk
L 40gms turkey ham & 1 L/F cheese triangle
D 2 portabello mushrooms with L/f mozarella & ham
S Cadburys L/F light chocolate mousse

Protein 73.4 - Calories 585 - Carbs 24.8 - Fat 18.6
Drinks- 500ml 40gm protein water - 1 litre water- 1 litre NAS Squash

Was almost hoping that mousse would make me dump or at least give me some sort of bad reaction but it didn't!!! Must stop testing myself like that it's not good..

Menu plans for today.

Breakfast - Homemade strawberry smoothie
Lunch - Crayfish tail and avocado salad
Dinner - A couple of oven baked chicken wings with the skin taken off
Snack - Some crackers and reduced fat houmous dip

I'll most likely have a couple glasses of wine too as I'm having a party at mine with my college friends. Not see them since just over 4 months ago before I lost any weight and was 26st. A bit nervous and excited all wrapped in to one.

Hope everyone else has a good night too :)

Edited to add I've just tried on a pair of size 22 slim fit jeans I brought for going out in a months time. They fit perfectly! Yay. Even more excited for tonight now :D
